That mark in the second quarter was fantastic
Underrated debut imo. Impressive player with a lot of tools.
Love his composure and kicking. Not willing to lock him in just yet (we did that with McPherson).

Not sure if it is just an over-imaginative recollection, but wasn’t his last game on Tredrea? No goals to Tredders, but one to Truck?!Rutten kicked 3 goals with his first 3 kicks in AFL, one goal with his last, and just 5 more from the 1,449 kicks in between.
My kids ordered me a Crows jumper for Fathers Day when Truck played his last game. I went for the "25" on the back of it.
It was me that added the edit to the Wiki page for goals with first kick to add the note of the goal in the last. This page has since been tabulated and that note deleted.
I thought Truck went out against Essendon. Could be wrong.
He definitely drifted forward for a late goal though.
Edit: Just checked, it was St Kilda

Was a nice debut. Won a few 1 v 1's and generally used the ball well.
The note is still there; the tabulated bit is players who kicked a goal with their first kick (only).
- Other notable inclusions are Nathan Bock (2 from first 2), Patrick Dangerfield and Taylor Walker.
It wasn't the only time. I remember being at Footy Park when Tredders' defender kicked a goal - might have been Bock? The shout of "Your man, Tredrea" came from somewhere near me in the stand
Oh, yeah - Max Michalanney. Good debut. Looked like he belonged out there.
McPherson's development stalled with his injuries.
And on MM - thought his game was a very solid debut with a few very nice moments

Should stay in the side unless he needs to be managed to refresh... but could also do via a sub
Has looked very good so far. Versatile player, disciplined when he needs to be but not afraid to show some flair when the opportunity arrives, and smart enough to know the difference.

Sky is the limit for this kid. Serious composure beyond his years
He has shown composure and run and carry and not afraid to lay a heavy tackle, now you can add toughness and aggression.
Resilience, too
Having that kind of hit laid on him only to come back out and perform even better is admirable
