Email has gone out to Members (from the club) saying as a Thanks for supporting the team in the first 6 home games they are giving out a surprise gift to all of us at the Membership Marquee at the next home game.

I don't get these emails - is it only Queensland based members? Checked my Lions account and my details are correct.

Wonder if the club will do something similar for us long suffering Victorian based members too.

You wouldn't get that particular email unless you attended all 6 home games at the Gabba so far.

Aha thanks man - should probably paid more attention to the bit in the email referencing 6 home games..

Maybe us southerners will get an email soon too, it's tough for us as well and we're generally outnumbered 6 to 1 versus being outnumbered 3 to 1 up there ;)

We have a good Membership department. They must have been thinking "We need to do SOMETHING to cheer them up."

Thanks to members have come from the Coaches wrap, Rockliff himself on the microphone after the game, and emails to Members now. Must be a specific instruction from the club to make us feel appreciated.
Handing out blindfolds, earplugs and sedatives to members apparently.

Thought it would be coaching application forms.
Plenty of "experts" on the Brisbane Lions Board. If only they would listen. ;)

So... what sort of time frame for the refit now that bartel has come out and asked for it? Different agenders for North & South I'm guessing.

It's stupid. The AFLPA signed off on the ground earlier in the year.

Actually the AFLPA said that the ground could of contributed to Close's injury but was dismissed by the VFL....AFL.

But they sign off on the ground conditions before each season. It's too late to make an issue of it after an injury.

BULLSHIT - It's never too late to revisit for ALL parties - Lions looked for $100k compensation back then, might not "officially" get compensated but I'd be very surprised if the Geelong discussions/mediation did not also included Brisbane.

But the AFLPA doesnt have a leg to stand on. The players union said it was ok. They can't now say they were wrong and it isnt.

New evidence that the surface is not good enough is a good leg to stand on.
