New evidence that the surface is not good enough is a good leg to stand on.

If anything they should be blamed and held accountable for making the error if it is unsafe.

You can't buy a house and a few months later ask for a refund because it's the wrong colour.

Well you can if you pointed it out immediately and it hasnt been rectified.

Why is there even a debate on the matter? After the first instance of an injury possibly caused by the Astro turf, why not just lay fresh turf down? Is there some other reason besides not wanting to spend the minimal amount of money and the lack of maintainace needed for synthetic grass?

Just listened to the AFL Exchange podcast - pretty tripe offering usually but thought I'd listen to their analyses on all 18 clubs.

Stef Martin will win the b&f apparently. As far as quality reporting on the Lions goes, that takes the cake in 2016

There are two precedents:

Shaun Rehn vs Rubber Disc in the centre circle at Footy Park
Luke O'Sullivan vs Shifting Turf at Waverley Park

It's basically an unsafe workplace issue in my eyes. If the AFLPA wanted to really push it, report it to Worksafe Vic. Then something would be done about fixing it for the future. Of course, it doesn't solve the past.

They need their head checked. :p

Jesus, that's ummmm, that's something. Shows how much people are watching our games. To be fair,it's out of either Martin or Notting for me.

...had a raised eyebrow when I read the bit about in the past some edits were just brushed over! .......Excuse me?!!:mad:

No wonder their mistakes keep happening.....they are not learning what they are doing wrong, for gods sake! What a bunch of amateurs our coaching team seems to be.
Yes, apparently you can photoshop them as if they never happened. I think our defence has been photoshopped out in a few games this year as well.

We're apparently spending a touch over $8M in the footy dept. - anyone think this is way overs when looking at our actual staff? o_O

Yeah I agree. Martin Pike has had a great season. And I think you're getting confused with Aaron Shattock for that other bloke.

Unfortunately the photo shopping happened just before the game and they couldn't draw themselves back into the picture in time for the game - need more art (of football) lessons.

What does it cover? We must have a lot of Coaches, physios, masseuses etc. Or does it include training venue hire, travel/accommodation for away games, training camps during the off season, equipment?? I have no idea but some of those non-coach things are included it would add up pretty fast.

This is from the AFL website (example only)

i can't believe we would offer that much for josh jenkins, not worth that much IMO. i hope they are in hurleys ear offering him the same amount.
Absolutely they would be. Rumour has it, however, that Hurley has no interest in living in Brisbane.

It does appear we have thrown an offer Jenkin's way that he simply can't ignore just to get in the conversation. We might just nab him with a big money offer that he simply can't refuse. This contract would set him up for life. I still expect him to either re-sign with Adelaide or move to another club though.
