If Schofield is taking directions from Tommy B then fair to say he's staying then, Schoeys been off this Hawks deal for weeks and saying the club should just keep Barrass.
Havent listened to schoey much lately, but if thats true then yeah I reckon the Hawks have cooled on Barrass, as evident by their offer.
They probably asked about Barrass and Battle, committed to both while really only wanting one of them.
They wont say theyre not interested anymore because that would give them a bad rep.
Earlier in the year seemed a bit prickly with the club about it all, now hes sounding like he'd not blame the club at all if they don't deal with Hawthorn.
The parts I've listened to he's said WC should play hardball and get as much out of Hawthorn as they can. And if the Hawks aren't willing to pay, they should deal with someone else
That's a stretch. He's been pushing that we should ask for 2 x F1 and a F2 akin to the TK deal. Which is just... Insane. Real Cornes areas and purposely so.

I still think what the whorks initially offered was way unders for a player like barrass. Hes still in his prime, which is reflected in the value and duration of the contract that was put infront of him.
I think asking for 2 firsts is justified. Keeping in mind these will be picks in the high teens in a compromised draft.
I'm with you there mate. 2 x F1, particularly given Hawks current F1 in a sexy draft has been removed. Kicks our rebuild down the road and into the unknown having to trade futures. But Schoey is saying 2 x F1 and their F2 (and this was before they traded away 14) - we send nothing back but TB, and if we don't get that deal then we don't send him. That's just too far overs given TB is a nice to have but we have one eye on some juicy picks.

Which is funny because he was the one at the start saying that the eagles shouldn’t accept anything but way overs for him. 2 first rounders minimum he was saying at the start.

The whole show he was blaming the eagles for TB and Baker not being at their new clubs had to turn off it was so repetitive.
Seems relatively balanced in this clip. The whole "he also manages Harley Reid" take is a bit tin foil hattish imo but generally agree with the rest

For years, we have paid slight overs and taken slight unders to get trade deals done.
With the limited assets we have, we just can't afford to take this approach this year.
We have good relationships with a number of clubs. I am sure if Baker played for Sydney or the Western Bulldogs the deal would have already been done.
