I don't think it's really ever a good idea for a player to say something like that towards their former club, even as a joke.
Especially after posting something like this.

Let's be honest, if a former player of ours did a similar thing, a lot of us and perhaps his former teammates would be pretty upset about it.

If the rumours are true and, after a good season, he was told ‘sorry but our list mismanagement means we either have to cut you loose or bring you back on minimum chips’, then he has every reason to be pissed off. The Insta post was just PR management, the video the other day was an off the cuff response. He may regret it but it may just be a better reflection of his true feelings. Or, third option, he’s just having fun and making clear he’s an Eagle now and everyone else is the enemy. Either way, nothing really in it.

It’s quite clearly option 3

That said, Carlton didn’t handle his exit particularly well and given he was effectively pushed out I expect he’ll be pretty motivated to prove they made a mistake.

Trained really well from the day he arrived

Talk about getting ahead of themselves. They didn’t even make finals last year and they’re talking dynasties.
Even if the balance of power is shifting (slightly?), and if they reach finals in next successive years - reckon we'll be hot on their trail before too long, on the charts with a bullet, and all will be normal again? But makes for exciting derbies, not blow outs.

The 'Yeah, who gives a shit' kills me :tearsofjoy: Collingwood playing all these games at the 'G ain't lining my pockets, so send them to Tassie! Lol

Attendance is a key metric the AFL use to measure the success of a season. Whilst that remains the case, Collingwood will play most of their games at the MCG and avoid trips to locations such as Tasmania, MDMA and the NT.

It also means more marquee games that put attendances over fixture equity because that’s the AFL way

This is the biggest disgrace in the AFL is still the biggest disparity to evenness of a competition.
Until the travel of teams from outside Victoria is radically revamped it can never be a true AFL, its still a bloated VFL with all the power/headquarters/decision makers in Melbourne.

Unfortunately but is still a disgrace to be called AFL with the disparity in travel that exists.
