My only qualm is that half the quarter was umpired with 'last quarter of a prelim, it's a free-for-all' mentality, and then at random intervals it just went back to normal 'call out a few cheap ones and 50's to maintain control' mentality.
The problem is that umpires consciously change the way they officiate games based on the way the match is going. Normally this goes quarter to quarter, but tonight it seemed every 5 minutes the umpires had changed their tunes.
Either that or it was match-fixing, but I'm more certain the Hawks were just the latest victims of a fluctuating and at times attention-seeking band of umpires. I would love to go back to an age where nobody new the umpires names...
