Hawk Island needs Van der Hum conditions to have any hope.

Red Cadeaux's money is for all the right reasons! So many people bet on simply reading the form if you watch his run in the Irish St Leger you'll realise why he is a good chance.
Ran on beautifully after sitting behind the 1.90 fav thinking he'd get the run of the race- sadly that horse did nothing so he shot out and chased down the two front runners who had a 6 length start one of which was Jukebox Jury. Got within 2-3 but couldn't make it up. Not to mention he now has a 3kg swing in his favour and also the track was dry that day.
Some of the so-called experts out there are quite poor. Amazing how i'd take the word of some posters on bigfooty with my cash over tools like simon marshall and tony brazzell these days.

Hawk Island - obviously wants it a bit wetter but I have always had the impression he would like a big trip like this. Just not good enough though.

Illo - in the same boat as Lucas Cranach for me, promising first up run here, has the racing style to win the race but question marks on just how good it is exactly. Doubtful it could turn the tables on Americain.
Illo - trained by the great Bart Cummings, barrier 1, and its run in the MV Cup was first up. Wouldn't be shocked to see this figure

Illo will be 30% better at Flemington then MV, but would need to be.
Has a great weight though, I'm glad I backed it at big odds, might start at $10 on the tote thanks to Bart factor.

If you like Moyenne Corniche, you have to like this horse, similar form lines, is it good enough, no idea really? Has some class though, which some of the ints don't seem to have.

LITM- only run at 3200 was super impressive and has heaps of upside. Why not?
Lost In The Moment - will this be another Godolphin phail? Should have won the Goodwood over 2 miles and I like the odds as well. A good roughie to have.

If I hadn't seen the Goodwood Cup i'd agree
Modun - Godolphin's other challenger, won 3 of those 8 starts and they rate ahead of LITM. Barrier 5, McEvoy, drops weight, in the picture mayybe to place i'd say.
