Modun - the equal most likely of the British horses to run a place with Moyenne Corniche - will stick on for a long way I feel. A potential All The Good type. McEvoy aboard is a win.

17. At First Sight...10k @ $15 to $14

Has the best formline of the Spring but is off a setback.
If he's fully recovered, will be charging home

Ticks many boxes.

Form has been great, down in the weights & significant weight drop, bred to win a Cup, stable know what is required, etc.
Only ever won 1 race but since its maiden win has only ever raced against the best. At Bendigo appeared to be back to his best - big threat.

At First Sight - the lightweighted chance, will win the race. Is the Shocking of this year who will peak on this day - sit in a slightly worse than midfield spot from that alley and be the one and only runner to get past Americain. The December Draw 2nd was the run that highlighted how good he is, and will take great benefit from that Bendigo Cup run with topweight.
Just needs to get the trip but racing like its what he needs to get past them all.

At First Sight is a must for exotics, always seems to find 1-2 better then it.

Plus, how good is the form from Bendigo? Has a BC runner ever placed in a Melbourne Cup?

Bendigo Cup has always been after the cup, this is the first year as a lead in race.

After the French he's surely the next best chance on form

But if i'm playing devil's advocate, maybe it doesn't know how to win.... Only ever done it once before
That and lloyd is a douche

Oh yeah, that might explain why no BC runner has ever placed in the MC, lol.:p

Moyenne Corniche - I loved his run in the Herbert Power and he will measure up against the Caulfield Cup runners...just not sure he has the explosive turn of foot to win - will keep coming and coming but just not as quick as the winner.

Agreed

Couldn't believe the ridiculous odds it started in Herbert Power but can't see it winning Melb Cup being ridden cold like that

Won the ebor but other internationals have massive pull in weights from that. Place only
