Well done to North on a good win. North have a bright future and their supporters definitely have a lot to look forward to over the coming years.

All were wearing Richmond merchandise, and the last chance to see the Tigs in 2010.

We are better than both of you combined.

Now, GTFL. :thumbsu:

The fact we finished higher then you on the ladder, only percentage keeping us out of the 8 and the fact that:

Richmond 7.11.53 defeated by North Melbourne 15.13.103

Means you must be right...

North comfortably have the best crop of young players between us two(north v rich)...

Fantastic game. Not much flooding and lots of long direct football with some great highlights. Not much to separate the two teams but North had a few more legs in the end. Also good to see McDonald and Jones go out with good games and get respectful exits to the game.

Good thing you have all those good kids, you'll need them to be really good to win 6 premierships...

because last time I checked

North Melbourne 4
Richmond 10

Argument over.

Good one.

Pretty sure half of perth come down to watch cuz see out his career aswell.

Material for next insult.

Ben Cousins + Crowd = More Than North Melbourne...

Fact is, probably saw 2-3 people in WC jumpers. But I would just love to agree with you just to point out the fact one player draws a bigger crowd than your entire club. :thumbsu:

I must say the North crowd was pretty disappointing. Aside from the cheer squad area and a small pocket on the flank, it was a Melbourne-dominated crowd. 10 thousand max North supporters.

Not much point saying that to the posters here because I'm assuming if you spend this much time posting about the club you probably attend the games.

Yep. For a while I thought my pediction earlier in the thread that the only thing that would get you over the line against us would be a day out from Jurrah was going to haunt me.

First time I've seen him live. What a footballer. Amazing skills and just a joy to watch.

Lucky buggers.

If a million people spend a lifetime watching a team that will never win a flag, does it really count as footy?

That's one of those deep philosophical questions, init?

Like... if a jumbo jet crashed into Punt Road Oval and burnt the bastard to a cinder, and nobody cared, how long would it take before that land was turned into a housing estate?

Don't worry, he's even better with Aaron Davey delivering it lace out ;)

Very enjoyable game though. Easier to enjoy though when not much was on the line.

Do you guys have goal posts up yet?

Do you realise that the goal posts issue was largely due to the cricket club not letting us put them up? Essendon has had the same issue at Windy Hill and they're as cashed up as you could hope for.

Let me guess, you're now going to rip out a "aren't you meant to be at the snow?" joke.

I'll only answer that if you can explain what drugs that other Melbourne supporter talking about the bombing of Punt Rd is on?

*No Cousins joke, can see it coming from Perth.

Wona 33 has a mind of his own. I dare say a jumbo jet would struggle to hit Punt Road Oval without endangering the MCG and our training facilities at Olympic Park.

Hahah, fair enough.

I'm just taking the piss dude.

Both North & Melb look to have very very solid futures coming up and I'm just hoping that the TIgers can join in on that success and build an era with your teams where we can all win a premiership.

As regards the three young inner city teams from this, and I've seen both Richmond and the Dees this year (seen North beat both ...)

North >>> Melbourne, but not by much and Melbourne have huge unexploited ceiling >>> daylight >>> Richmond.

Richmond have two genuine young stards in Martin and Riewoldt.

Then it drops off.

Both North and Melbourne far more even across the lists when it comes to young talent.
