Congrats to him, and I'm sure he's brought plenty of good, and I'm very happy to have him, but how much of our input would stem from self-satisfaction from our own playing group? Get the sense that they'd be happy with pretty minimal achievements. I think it's inarguable at this point that their benchmarks are below everyone else's

Obviously dev coaches put a lot into the younger guys but I'd be disappointed if we restricted the support for development to just the younger players. People can continue developing at any stage in their career.

Agree we can't let him slip free, I've got a good feeling about him as a senior coach. Hopefully we can get him emotionally invested in the club.

Exactly. We went backwards this year (same wins worse %), so how does he win best development coach of the year? An odd choice.
