That quote tells me he isn't leaving because of harsh feelings but that he's been squeezed out of the best 22 in his year off.
a non starting player at Essendon is worth two first rounders to them, haven't you learnt anything? If that is true then I am sure that the efc will be happy with a 3rd rd selection for a non-starting 22 player ...........
Not starting doesn't mean he isn't a good player worthy of good compensation. It's just that there is younger players that have stepped up who play his position.
Didn't see that coming. Pick 26 hopefully done early.
Given they got a 2nd rounder for Melksham, they have a right to think they are a chance to get it.a non starting player at Essendon is worth two first rounders to them, haven't you learnt anything?
Explain how that's back pedalling? He's been squeezed out of the position in this particular club, doesn't mean he's worth less.
Boooooo!Love ya Pig, Will cheer every kick he gets for the dees, Awesome player and fantastic bloke, Essendon will always love him.
Lucky he doesn't play for the Bulldogs then. After they got pick 46 for Liam Jones that would make him worth 3 first roundersGiven they got a 2nd rounder for Melksham, they have a right to think they are a chance to get it.
Hmmmm, wonder why they finished last? Wouldn't have anything to do with players missing in positions all across the ground? Essendon's stronger position next year is the backline. Hence why he wants to go elsewhere for more opportunities. Would he be worth more at the trade table if he was a forward of the same quality since Essendon are weaker in that end of the ground?
The value should depend on the quality of player he is, not how much it will hurt the club. Would Geelong deserve less compensation for a player than Carlton would because losing a good player would hurt Carlton more? I'd say no.
Hogan and Melbourne's second should do it/Dodoro
