Mundy had a great year but is he really that good that hes rating Montagna, Enright and Buddy infront of him sorry I don't watch much non vic footy and i was pretty sure he got nominated for Rising star but Dan Hannerbry won it so why is he higher then him?

what

Abblet, Swan, Goddard and hodge will be in the top 5, not sure of the order though. Im not sure if Watson actually belongs in the top 50 or not, im leaning towards not. He does not tear teams apart like alot of other players on the list.

I agree dude but you are mistaken, Mundy didn't even manage a rising star nomination this year!

Hannerbry was ROBBED!

Refer to Round 20 2009 :thumbsu: Watsons best Game>>>lids best game
Anyway Tigers fans are going to argue lids is better and Essendon Supporters are going to argue Watson is better. Fact is they are both great players and deserve to be in the top 30 minimum IMO

Not sure what your arguing then since Lids made top 30, but agree Jobe got screwed by Sheehan as usual.

Btw, check out Deledio's game in round 18 against the crows, almost single-handedly shut down the crows ability to get the ball past the center of the ground in the final quarter, crows couldn't mount a forward challenge and we held on to win the game. At one point Commeti said 'Crows finding it hard to get the ball past CHB and Deledio'.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Mike's lost it!!

Where's Watson, where's Cooney???

Why is Lake not in the top ten??

Why is Dale Thomas at 9? Omg. He's better than anything that's on 10 other clubs' lists apparently.

Why is Joel Selwood at 4? James Kelly at 20?

Good to see Daisy to finally get recognition :thumbsu:

Not sure he should be ahead of Pendles though.

All Dale Thomas does is run to space near the boundary, gather, and execute an easy little chip kick to a teammate. He's always been overrated with his golden locks and unnecessary leaps, now his stats have picked up he's the best thing ever.

I know it's very hard for you but please try to think just a little bit before you post.

I might do should you provide me with an argument with relevance to the topic at hand and not your anxiety at the prospect of not everyone agreeing with you.

Please, by all means, try again. If you manage to provide a valid argument I will be happy to give my rebuttal more thought.

No arguments are needed. Just watch the two Grand Finals again, because you obviously weren't watching them the first time. If you did watch them you would see that Thomas is much more than what you've described.

I'd say you are the only remaining person in Australia that still has no idea about Daisy.
Stop embarrassing yourself.

Yes I watched them, so you're wrong on the first front (the age old 'clearly you weren't watching x or y game' is always an indication of just how lacking in real material the belittler is).

I'll admit as much as Thomas playing the best he's played his whole career, and his skills came to the fore under pressure in tight spaces, but the majority of his possession was still easy ball, and the majority of his season remains at a very good, but not elite, standard.

Oops, see you did it again :D

When the day comes the cavalry will arrive, Daisy's ridiculous rating will be one of the main talking points of this silly old codger's top 50, and you will see just how popular my opinion is.

My initial post in this thread questioned Daisy being rated higher than Pendles, yours was full of dumb arse statements that might've been true few years ago

I don't have the stats for the first Granny but in the replay out of Daisy's 18 touches 10 were contested, get a clue.

Not too bad, people will whinge regardless e.g. the guy complaining that Lake isn't 3 spots higher.

Selwood's a bit too high, as is Thomas and Kelly could easily have been Cooney, but apart from that his top 20 isn't too bad. Watson should clearly have featured somewhere in the top 50 though, that is his major blemish.

I'd personally have Sandilands a bit higher and Riewoldt lower, but it's essentially just nitpicking. I would have liked some sort of justification on each position though, it's obvious he was influenced fairly strongly by the finals campaign.

5 seconds research can often save a bit of embarrassment.

Mind you, even with research your post barely makes sense.

Even though I rate Daisy Thomas this season, he wasn't the 9th best player in the comp. In fact I would go as far as saying a bloke who missed the 50 altogether in Jobe Watson had a better season than Daisy.

Mike sheehan is just trying to create talking points

Sandilands needs to be higher (top 5), Pendles top 10, Green about 30-50 range, Thomas weighted heavily because of GF, which is fair but if you doing so, then surely Goddard must be ranked above Swan (nothing against Swan, just saying)? ...And as people have said, the leaving out of Watson, the only possible Essendon candidate to a paper that writes too much about Essendon usually, is just a publicity stunt.

I actually picked Thomas for my Norm Smith...
Not for his entire season, but because anyone can pull a rabbit on GF day and I think he has the ability to turn it up...
Doesn't indicate he isn't worthy of being one of Mike Sheahans top 50 players though.

god i hate selwood, number 4!
spare me

Hmmmm, Port Adelaide supporters will never get over it... :)
