Daniel Roberts - 192/92 - born 26/12/86 so he was almost bottom aged last year and one could say he is only top aged this year. Jumped about 6cm higher than Pfeiffer who had the best jump at draft camp, bucket sized hands and he is quick. - UNSEEN
Ryan Gamble - 186/75 - from the south-east and would have gone to the carnival except for a broken jaw (IIRC) worked his way from the under 19's to play 2 league games at the end of the year. Very good jump and is about the same speed as hurn. Great at the ground level contested ball and oozes class just doesn't get it enough but then each time I have seen him he played on a flank so he can be excused.
Josh Sampson 183/77 - slowish but he was recovering from leg injuries at state screening so his time might not be a great indicator. He is very good at getting his hands on the ball at ball ups but tends to panic kick rather than try and break from the pack.
Ryan Bennett - 185/95 - a diet may be in order, quick and is a beatiful kick of the football.

Ryan Gamble is one who I think could really jump from the pack with another year of football in the system. He would have had his eyes opened to what is required this year.

Steven Greene was born 21/1/1982, making him ineligible for the rookie draft. Bombers just lost a pick.
I queried mcphee_is_a_gun prior to the listing and the info about his eligibility stems back to the Bombers website where someone got a clarification from the AFLPA and they said he was O.K.For the purpose of this Phantom rookie draft I suggested that I also thought that this was wrong but I would let him have him.

The Bombers probably wouldn't pass on our last two picks but I couldn't think of any more players to pick. There were a few players that i wanted that got picked up earlier. We might have gone for a ruckman with one of those late picks although it would be highly unlikely that they would turn out to be any good. Guy Campbell was delisted from ther Sydney rookie list and is a former Bendigo player so maybe he might be worth a look in the rookie draft this year.

Cameron Heise seems like a good type and I was happy to get him with our first pick.

If both Neaves and Warnock slip through to the real rookie draft I'd be hoping to get one of them.

Angus Graham was a good pick, but I'll eat my proverbial hat if we pick up Spaanderman.

Expect Hawthorn to take a VFL player or two, I reckon.

Guy Campbell was delisted at Sydney b/c he was too old to be retained on the rookie list. Local paper article says he's playing for Echuca United (was Echuca ever divided?; a scary thought) in Bendigo next year.

Collingwood Pick 17- Simon Buckley (Sandringham Dragons)

this seems a little to high for bucks to go.
anyone have thoughts about this or him???
ur joking?? prob a chance in the ND late, but has the potential to go in the draft. if not for an inconsistent season, he would be rated very highly.

why do carlton only hav one pick we delisted one 2 rookies and are elevating 1 shouldnt we get 3 picks not1 cos dont u hav 6 rookies

At the moment we have two veterns outside the primary list in Kouta and Campo and therefore for each play outside the primary list you get one less rookie. At the moment it stands that we are entitled to four rookies and already have 3 in Batson, Smith and Aisake.

When Campo is delisted we will have 5 rookies for next year.

Brisbane Pre-Rookie draft local picks-Nate Roffey,Julian Kannis and Sam Gilbert.International Rookies-Colm Begley and Brendan Quigley.
Does anybody know when Sydney and Brisbane pick their pre - Rookie Draft local picks? Is it just before the Rookie Draft - same day?

Yeah Killer, just before the rookie draft.I think the international rookies are listed a week before though.
Hey Grub! Are you happy with Macca69's Sydney picks? I don't really want Kannis or Gilbert from Brisbane going to Sydney! To be honest, I am hoping that they both get overlooked and end up in Brisbane's Rookie List. Kannis especially being Born late December 87 but he'd be a good kid to develope at CHF. He had 2 Best on Grounds at the Carnival so the chances of him being rookied are slim :( He's also from Sydney I here so he might fit in well down there. Come to think of it Gilbert is exactly what the Doctor ordered for Sydney. Oh well, we'll see. It seems that Maccas Mock Draft is the most popular. Sydney will have another huge year! Brisbane v Sydney Grand Final!!!
