I haven't seen that in ages.

Watching a bit, I'm surprised there weren't serious injuries. Particularly tackling them off the pyramid.
I remember that there actually were quite a lot of injuries over the journey. But not the serious ones that you're right about - there was a massive risk of that with the pyramid!
Nah I ******* loved bubsy.
I did too, but I also knew at the time that it was a terrible knock-off or all the major players (Mario/Sonic etc). I mean, he collected balls of yarn. Come on!

The Inzud version of Its A Knockout was "Top Town" and it was taken very seriously by the small towns and cities in Kiwiland. Health and safety? Not where rope nets were concerned... it was kind of past its use-by date when this promo was filmed in the late 80s, it's kind of nostalgic to see though.

Fun (and pointless) fact - that particular piece ran a little bit early, a minute or so, but broke the embargo on colour tv for March 1. They thought they were going to get in trouble for that but never did.

Player #32 - Patrick Cripps

Cripps has won 3 x John Nicholls medals, which if you like poetry is awarded to Carlton's best and fairest and is named after their former ruckman who spent time in prison for embezzlement and larceny. Nicholls himself has 5 medals, although I have been strongly advised not to speculate on how he came to acquire them.

Funniest thing I have read on this thread.

Laughed so hard that my Inguinal hernia popped clean out and landed on my keyboard.
