Morabito to undergo knee surgery

Fremantle Dockers midfielder Anthony Morabito is likely to miss the 2011 season after injuring his anterior cruciate ligament at training this morning.
He will undergo surgery on his left knee early next week.

It's always the worst possible outcome for us. He gets injured at training and it's not a hammy, stress fractures, quad or anything else; it's an ACL and 2011 over for him.

ACL's don't usually get injured at training more so in games.

Weekend ruined.

Seeing what a knee reconstruction has done to Rhys makes me even more worried about Mora's injury. Rhys wasn't at his best 18 months after his injury, will Mora be at his best come the start of 2012? Are Rhys' and Mora's injuries comparable in that regard?

His game is based upon his athleticism and large frame, and I sincerely hope this doesn't hinder him down the track. Are there any degradations in terms of the severity of an ACL? I'm trying to find positives here...
