Carpe Diem
Probably haven’t named the venue as some joker of a bloke or sheila who wasn’t even there will lodge an RSA & noise complaint.

If we cop multiple suspensions Tigers may be back in the running but otherwise it will be Bombers with the Stringer angle to promote it .Slight chance of Heavenly Swans versus evil Giants another angle that could be promoted .. Watch them promote Port v Hawks after fining Kenny 20,,000.Nothing surer.I assume all the big VIC clubs are now demanding they play the Giants in the first few rounds.
Men really do have it tough in the workplace.100% this. Approaching a member of female staff to ask them about a work-related issue they caused is fraught with danger. You basically have to remain expressionless and speak without any emotion. Even if they have in fact caused the issue.
Twin Towers is literally one of the most joked about events on the internet. You type "9/11" into Instragram right now and you will see thousands and thousands of jokes about it. The Family Guy clip has been posted, the Norm McDonald joke is posted. In his most recent comedy show Shane Gillis does a hilarious joke about an Australian in the twin towers on 9/11 "oh ****, get down - naaauuurrr" Bizarre that people find it offensive. Why would you dress up as twin towers geez like that isn’t going to ruffle a few feathers ey

Hahahahaahaha congratulations on the dumbest post I’ve seen on BigFootyEight things we learned: These young Cats mids are rising fast
The Eagles are soaring, Geelong's young midfield is deadly plus more round six lessonswww.afl.com.au
So it's okay for AFL media to refer to a duo of players as "The Twin Towers" but not okay for AFL players to dress as them?
And there is no right to freedom from consequences. What are you actually on about?
As Jim Spigelman (one of Australia's grreatest legal minds) once said, there is no right not to be offended. That is the very essence of free speech.
Want to use big words like reducive? Possibly the most reducive thing I have read on this thread is you saying the threshold for what is acceptable expression through soeech or behaviour is that if one person out of thousands or millions is offended, it crosses that threshold.
And make sure you don’t do it alone, because that could be misinterpreted. And don’t do it on a group, because that’s too public.100% this. Approaching a member of female staff to ask them about a work-related issue they caused is fraught with danger. You basically have to remain expressionless and speak without any emotion. Even if they have in fact caused the issue.
Surely this is the last Mad Monday or Wacky Wednesday or whatever in a public place
You've got houses fellas, use them!!
The issue should have remained between the players and the venue. If the venue wasn't happy with what was going on they should have simply kicked the players out. I don't understand why the AFL needs to get involved.Distasteful, yes. Illegal, no.
Would I do it? No. Can I understand why some are upset? Yes.
But six weeks is a joke. Toby fined $20,000 is a joke.
If the AFL is handing out fines for lack of leadership then they’ll be raising funds internally.
Exposing someone to actions they find offensive while they are at work is, though. And acting in a way contrary to your employee code of conduct at a work function is as well.Hurting someones feeling is not a crime.
This is a pandoras box
What’s wrong with Northcote?Anyone from the entire suburb of Northcote should be banned from AFL games for life....!
So you believe it's a problem that people need to consider other people's welfare when addressing them in their place of work?100% this. Approaching a member of female staff to ask them about a work-related issue they caused is fraught with danger. You basically have to remain expressionless and speak without any emotion. Even if they have in fact caused the issue.
It was a private party. Why would a venue staff member complain to the employer of these guys?
The staff member might complain to their own manager but given that nothing illegal happened a valid response might be "perhaps you are not suited to work here."

Because Americans died and their lives are more important than anyone else?I don't think the twin towers could ever be portrayed in any comedic way.
Touch grass mateThat just means that there's plenty of moron jokers about. They're about as funny as a train wreck.
People should never joke about tragic events.
I bet they wouldn't think it's that funny if something like that impacted their lives.
