Re: Murray Football League Thirds

team looks pretty good mate, few changes would be
OUT
A Brassil - is to old for thirds
M wright - has only kicked goals against the no bodys.
J Roberts - any player from toc cant be to good.

INS
B Garth - player who is dominant every week, and consistently beats his opponent around the ground.
C Bradley - one of the best ball winners in the comp, and has the skill to back it up.
J Barnett - gets kicks, and teams in top two.

Say what you want about young Matty, but i'd have in my team anyday. He has his good days and he's bad days but he's gotta be doing something right to be leading the goal kicking!!!

il take matty out now. after we played rumba today. just fights with not only our blokes but with his own 2!

Re: Murray Football League Thirds

Yes his errant elbows have seemed to disappear from his game!

I'd have to say either Cody Bradley or William Neville would have to be leading at the moment and would be short priced favourites to win our best and fairest. Kyle Halliwell might make a late surge as he has performed well in recent outings.

yes he is definatly a good in and under tough nut for the tonny team and if his elbows stay in he will continue 2 cause havoc out at tonny :thumbsu:

Re: Murray Football League Thirds

Tongala 3rds are the dirtest dogs going around the murray league at this point

Re: Murray Football League Thirds

How can ya say that when you have probably not watched every other team in the comp? I'd keep your mouth shut if i were you before you just go out and judge us like that.

Anyways String, I'd have to say that not only Kyle Halliwell will make a late surge. I'd also have to say Brodie Garth AND Ayden McGill will poll votes well towards the business end of the season.

Thats a pretty harsh statement. There was a bit of a blue between a few players from BOTH sides. Talking to the players involved, they thought that the treatment they recieved was over the top and so retaliated which probably wasn't the right thing to do, especially given our situation in the game. I found it to be pointless and all it served was to distract us from the footy.

I was at full forward at the time and didn't see what happened so i can't comment on what caused the incident, but to judge the whole side on the actions of one or two players is pretty rough.

That statements a bit rough, i guess we just play unsociable football but hey, its working at the moment, hopefully we can keep up our good footy into the finals, because it looks like we will have two weeks off before our first final. in the case that we remain on top. On the weekends incident though, its the second time its happened for the year and both times it was the same two offenders, its not the whole team and at half time the pair of them were given a spray and pulled into line by both the coach and fellow team mates.

Re: Murray Football League Thirds

Damn straight Tonny play unsociable football. Only team i've ever played that call the umpire a dirty c***. It might be working at the moment but come finals they'll be surprised. There not as top as they think they are.

Re: Murray Football League Thirds

I agree with Footy2. Why is the whole team copping it when it's only two or three offenders?

I also have heard around the traps that Moama won't train cause of the rain. Would someone like to clear that up for me?

I havn't heard anyone in the side call the umpire a dirty c***, and if so then thats not good enough, and isn't something that we encourage. "There not as top as they think they are", don't agree with that comment, we dont think where better than anyone else in that top six, since the start of the year we've been busting our arse on the training track, and this year come september we wont be a push over.

I haven't heard anyone call the umpire a dirty c***. And I'VE spent more than half the season on the pine, so I think i'd know if that'd have happened. I think you're more concerned about the two or three players that are being undisiplined at some games. But if people haven't realised, there ARE players that have been standouts that HAVEN'T been causing undisiplined actions. Eg; Brodie Garth has had a standout month, kicking 20+ goals in the last 6 weeks and also Cody Bradley and Will Nevill have also been players to watch because of their work rate.

I also agree with Footy2 ("There not as top as they think they are", don't agree with that comment) cause every team has just a good a chance as the others. I also have to say that we HAVE busting our pooper valves at the training track. But we will be a force to contend with, as are Mulwala, Deni Rams, Echuca Untied, Moama and Finley. Any of those teams could win the flag.

They better tie themselves back up if they want to play good footy then..:D

Tonny Will Win The Flag Theres Nothing Wrong With A Bit Of Biff Its Footy Not Netball And Sticking Up For Your Team Mates Theres Nothing Wrong With That :) Hope I See You Out On The Feild Hussdog :)

Re: Murray Football League Thirds

Haha sorry there Tucky. Should've been United, not untied...

But honestly, what's wrong with showing that you stick up for your team-mates? I know that some of these guys may have stepped outta line, but people will always retaliate. That's just something you've gotta expect in football.

I agree mate. :thumbsu:

Anyways, nobody's answered my question still. I've heard that Moama won't train in the rain and i'd like that matter to be cleared up. Could someone please tell me if that is true?

Yes, I can confirm that the rumours are true. The Moama Football Club Under 17 team will not train in the rain, as it makes their hair go curly.

I wouldnt worry what other teams are doing, you guys are on top of the ladder and looking for a flag this year, just keep going about your business, as it is obviously working for you, and win games of footy, without telling everyone how good you are, we'll all know how good you are by the end of next month.

You're so wise, Homer. Seeing that you are giving out advice, should I put $50 on the nose of number 3 or number 8 in the gallops at Kembla Grange this afternoon?

Re: Murray Football League Thirds

Cause Of The #8 Being Used By Jayden, TuckeyLives, I'd Go #8.

Re: Murray Football League Thirds

your right homer1 about time some of these tonny boys gave it a rest. coming into finals they have alot to prove after the last 2 seasons!

I think a few of you boys need to pull your heads in a bit. Comments such as these are just ridiculous as we haven't achieved anything yet and should concentrate on improving on the last couple of years where we have simply wilted under the added pressure of finals football. We might be sitting on top of the ladder at the moment but that means nothing come finals. Sides such as deni, mul and echuca are very strong and will not be easy to overcome.
