I miss Asgardian, his regular posting was always quality but his knowledge of film was another thing.
I've seen most of the gems mentioned in this thread and very partial to those pre-1960, in particular the 20's to 40's.
I'm surprised that the greatest film of all time hasn't been mentioned, Tokyo Story (1953).

12 Angry Men
Mr Roberts
Fail Safe
Planet of the Apes
Soylent Green
The Last Seduction
The Interview (Hugo Weaving)
The Dish
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Back to the Future
The Terminator
Alien
Total Recall (Arnie)
Woman's World
Chinatown
The Maltese Falcon
The Third Man
A Night to Remember
To Kill a Mockingbird
Draft Day
Das Boat
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
Shadow of a Doubt
Rear Window
Calamity Jane
Chicago
Falling Down
Silkwood
Contact
Inside Man
Training Day

too many more to mention.

Just saw "John Carter" 2012 on a worst 100 movies list.
I just want to give it some love. I have watched it multiple times, and I'm sure I'll watch it again.

Seems like I'm in a very small minority with this one.

Flicking through movies with the 18month old and saw Shrek, so chucked it on. I hadn't seen it since it first came out.

He watched for about 20 mins and then wandered off to play with Duplo...

That night i had to chuck it back on, D!ck jokes, **** jokes... i forgot how adult the inuendo was.

Now thinking i have to go through the rest again lol. They really were ahead of their time
