It'll be interesting to read how Cronin & Kavanagh go for VicMetro at the completion of the carnival. Both good prospects, slightly different players but both have a good chance of getting drafted I would've thought. Pretty sure they're both playing.

Vic Metro 2 losses, a fair chance that vic metro will go through the under 18 and under 16 carnivals without a victory against the div 1 teams.

I never thought I would see the day.

That is like USA not winning a track and Field gold medal at the olympics, it should never happen

Played school footy and local footy with Jordan. Not surprised he's in the top bracket, because of his fantastic work-rate and smarts around the footy. Just one question though, why in the hell is he playing for VicC? He plays Div1 football for Pascoe Vale U/16's at present.

Very good to see. Hopefully them two in particular continue their good form.

WOW - that is so bad.

If you have been following the u/18 VM threads you will see the anger and dissappointed of VM followers and how we all believe the selection of the VM was totally wrong and IMO the selectors should be held accountable. You cannot totally blame the players - some of them are just not up to it. How the hell they chose the u/18 kids (and now the u.16 kids) is beyond me - they have obviously totally stuffed up their selection process this year. We have some very talented kids in Victoria - what the hell has happened.

I worry for these u/16 boys as 90% of them will not make the u/18 squad in 2 years time (going on this year). The u/16 VM of 2 years ago won the championships and a large majority of them did not even make the squad this year. You work that one out

Must be a different Jordan Kelly. This one is from Edi-Asp. Good to see the big fella and Dylan Shiel having good carnivals. Both will go on to play at the Stingrays next year. Dylan will be the next Tom Scully in 2 years, thats my tip anyway.

Second that motion, very clean player also, I reckon he will end up a good size too, if his dad is anything to go by.

If anyone has seen the WA games, anyone want to tell me how Coniglio and Burnham are going? They're by far WA's best players and I've been pretty disappointed to see them not in the best. Burnham is a Daniel Rich clone, and I'm not exaggerating, left foot kick, general style of play, looks and body shape he's so similar to Rich. Both silky skilled mids with huge potential, Burnham captain and Coniglio vice-captain. 2 losses is very disappointing too!!! I think this is a weaker WA age group. Doesn't have the guns the last few years have had from what I've seen.

Can't see Dylan getting to his Dad's height. His dad is about 193 and I reckon Dylan would be lucky to get to 185 but still will be quite a player

I agree that the VM performance has been less than great. Shows that choosing tall runners and having very little grunt in the team is not a good strategy. Vic's best defenders include Francis Keeley, Ricky Mullins, Meroli and Hal Hunter from Cannons - none of these boys were selected. Surely they would have stopped a goal or two. Too many soft boys in the team.....

I have played with these 3 people b4, will has a penetrating kick and is strong for a not so big looking body, Nick o is an absolute gun, footy smart and great leadership, and darcy watchhorn is incredibly quick, needs to work on kicking a tiny bit and sharpen skills, but usually a great mark.
