Frustrating as the annual loss to Melbourne may be, Essendon are one of 5 teams yet to lose to GC or GWS.Yeah iv'e had it how we struggle against these shit sides other teams seem to have no problems.
I think we we pull off the upset.Expecting more of the same - a seven to eight goal loss. Hoping for no injuries, for a few glimpses from our younger guys and for the effort to be there for the full match irrespective of the scoreboard.
Yep and then keep them in limbo until the 31st.
A debacle if there ever was one. Mitch Brown would be feeling pretty postive though, has gotten a ton of positive press and exposure, id say hes done his chances of a 2nd shot at AFL no harm.
Agreed. I think he's put his best foot forward in a very weakened side and I'd love him to put in a solid 2015 at state level and get a crack at it at 2016.
Also been pleasantly surprised with Muscles - think he's held up well, though I suspect he may be too old for an AFL club to look at him in 2016.

Anyone going to this?
If Ambrose and Gleeson are borderline 22, how are Giles and Merrett not?Only 9 of our starting 22 named - and thats if you include Gleeson & Ambrose who are probably borderline...(players in bold).

Ashby McKernan Gleeson
Z.Merrett Cooney Dalgleish
Chapman Ambrose J.Merrett
Langford Daniher Edwards
Giles Goddard Zakka
Bench/SUBS from: Fantasia Laverde Kavanagh O'Brien
Petrenko Freezer M.Brown Jones
Missing players;-
Pears Fletch Hibberd
Dempsey Hooker Winders
Stanton Myers Colyer
Melksham Hurley Howlett
Watson Carlisle Kommer
TBell Heppell Hocking
How old is he??Muscles kicking is pretty darn good, kind of view him as a Josh Hunt type player, strong can outbody most opponents his size and doesnt get thrown around by the bigger guys (even though he lacks the reach) and uses his kicking to break open the play from the backline. Thats just my reading of it, i may be off base with that.
Think you may be right though, too old to get a look in, but then again if a team is entering a window and wanted depth in an area he would be a good get. That is the positive i keep referring to in this situation, these guys get a second shot at it, I can be happy for them.
29 nowHow old is he??
Could be the next JPod, worth a chance29 now
If you're an essendon or AFL member i think you get free general admissionWho pays to watch practice matches??? People in the country doing it I understand.
Could be the next JPod, worth a chance
That's the way it usually is for pre-season.What is the go with Etihad for this match? All seats general admin except level two or?
Didn't know about the knee recos...A 29 year old who has had a few knee recos?
Wouldn't particularly be good list management,
Daniher to kick 7.I am actually pretty excited tonight. Not for the game, per se, though.
It's: Battle of the Young Guns! Daniher v Hogan! WHO WILL WIN?!
Yes, but so do Melbourne.Expect a loss tonight (we have a putrid midfield), but very keen to see Joey. Against a bog average Melbourne defence, he could have a field day.
