Yep and then keep them in limbo until the 31st.

A debacle if there ever was one. Mitch Brown would be feeling pretty postive though, has gotten a ton of positive press and exposure, id say hes done his chances of a 2nd shot at AFL no harm.

Agreed. I think he's put his best foot forward in a very weakened side and I'd love him to put in a solid 2015 at state level and get a crack at it at 2016.

Also been pleasantly surprised with Muscles - think he's held up well, though I suspect he may be too old for an AFL club to look at him in 2016.

It was interesting reading that the club has had to hold separate meetings for our listed players and for the ring-ins because they don't want to give away details of our game plan to guys that could ostensibly never be seen at the club again in a matter of days.

Probably can't underestimate the gameday impact of having a handful of guys out there running around for us who are not only just a couple of weeks into learning a new gameplan, but aren't even privy to all the nuts and bolts of it.

The club should keep tabs on Brown could be a handy recruit.

Muscles kicking is pretty darn good, kind of view him as a Josh Hunt type player, strong can outbody most opponents his size and doesnt get thrown around by the bigger guys (even though he lacks the reach) and uses his kicking to break open the play from the backline. Thats just my reading of it, i may be off base with that.

Think you may be right though, too old to get a look in, but then again if a team is entering a window and wanted depth in an area he would be a good get. That is the positive i keep referring to in this situation, these guys get a second shot at it, I can be happy for them.

Only 9 of our starting 22 named - and thats if you include Gleeson & Ambrose who are probably borderline...(players in bold).
We still have pretty much a whole team of players missing....

Hams Gwilt Baguley

Ashby McKernan Gleeson

Z.Merrett Cooney Dalgleish

Chapman Ambrose J.Merrett

Langford Daniher Edwards

Giles Goddard Zakka

Bench/SUBS from: Fantasia Laverde Kavanagh O'Brien

Petrenko Freezer M.Brown Jones

Missing players;-

Pears Fletch Hibberd
Dempsey Hooker Winders
Stanton Myers Colyer
Melksham Hurley Howlett
Watson Carlisle Kommer

TBell Heppell Hocking
If Ambrose and Gleeson are borderline 22, how are Giles and Merrett not?

I am actually pretty excited tonight. Not for the game, per se, though.

It's: Battle of the Young Guns! Daniher v Hogan! WHO WILL WIN?!
Daniher to kick 7.

Expect a loss tonight (we have a putrid midfield), but very keen to see Joey. Against a bog average Melbourne defence, he could have a field day.
Yes, but so do Melbourne.
