I think 3-4 games is still too little. It would take a game or 2 to shake the nerves before you really started to settle into your role in the team with the blokes on the field and then 3 or 4 to really prove that yes this guy has something or hes just gonna keep turning that ball over and have it going back the other way at a rate of knots.

From everything ive seen on Lucas hes got skills but he has this thing where he just runs too far with it and ends up running out of options and will just throw up an errant handball before he gets tackled. That being said in the NAB cup game I saw him do one of those runs where he faked the trigger on the handball then spotted up Tommy Bell on the run when he kicked that 9 pointer and that whole passage was just sweet... no pun intended (but you gotta love when that happens).

Since this has become a Sugar appreciation thread, the thing that I really liked was a spoil on Cameron who was presenting for the kick-out late in the game. Unlike White earlier in the match Lucas got his fist to the ball and sent it out of bounds. I would very much like to see more of him in the Seniors and, if so, the established player under pressure is probably Jeffy. So hoping for a big lift against Freo from Jeff to up the stakes in that contest.

Sugar has the "looks" of a really good AFL player. My view is that he will go further than JR. He has shown glimpses of real talent - clearly he is capable of becoming part of our best 22. I think you are absolutely correct about the confidence thing. It is a little like Brock McLean when he was owning VFL games and falling short when played the occasional AFL game. When he was given full games in succession it all clicked again at AFL level. When the coaches consider Lucas is ready for AFL I think he should be given 3 or 4 full games to find his place. My bet is he will reward the faith in him.

I'll be watching him very closely against Freo to see if he continues to build on his promising start. I'd be happy to see him at HBF.

Having Robbie Wiley on board will help Sugar a lot as they worked together in the under age WA sides.

Via Freo Twitter account. Ross Lyon says Barlow and Pav won't play this week. Mundy & Fyfe will after missing Round 1.

I'd say Watto will get a chance to play every game. Is out only option with genuine size at fb. Reckon Ghraib goal will be to have jammo, hendo and Watto play every game. Everyone else likely to Allah can play on mids and smalls.

Our new game plan will result in more high balls and less easy inside D50. The extra tall will be a must. Add to that duigan, laidler, Yarran , tuohy etc. Most of who could play up the ground.

That might be the funniest thing I've seen all week.
Watson needs to learn some composer. Give him some more game time, atleast 3 of the next 4.
True, start him off with the big names, Bach, Beethoven, before moving onto the likes of Vaughan-Williams or Mahler.

It's ok, it was comprehensible, I'm just having some fun. I do like the idea of getting him on music therapy though. Get it injected into his stomach.

Works for this douche ...

(although, he's probably listening to Miley Cyrus or a mash up of the Jonas Bros)
