From DT rules 2010:

NAB CUP TRIAL SCORING
Everyone who registers and selects their team early will not only be in the running for the random draw early registration prizes ($5,000 in cash to be given away!), but they'll also be able to trial their team, and how it would have scored for a particular round based on actual NAB Cup stats before the season starts. NAB Cup scores will be added and updated right throughout the pre-season. Dream Team coaches may edit and update their teams as much as they like, as they set it up for the actual Dream Team season. On any update, they'll be able to visit the NAB Cup trial page and instantly get a team score based on their most current selected team line up, from the latest scores in the NAB Cup. The perfect opportunity to trial the all-important rookies. The NAB Cup score trial page will be available once the pre-season gets under way!

Reckon they will have the scores from the NAB challenge?

I asked this about 3 weeks ago.

Did a bit of digging and AFL Dream Team will only show NAB Cup scores. So those of us that usually refer to fanfooty.com will find little value from that.

I think there will be limited data from NAB Challenge games but not every player will be tracked. I recall some info on NAB Challenge DT scores published on the AFL website, but I don't know where the info came from.

If anyone can shed some light on where NAB Challenge DT scores can be found, it would be much appreciated.

Freako's email will give the DT points, but not the brekdown of how they got them or TOG IIRC.

Is that for every player or just a sample of the ones who perform well?

Apologies, but I wasn't on his mailing list last year. I'm pretty sure I'm on it this year though.

hard to believe a NAB cup game hasn't been played yet.

Usually DT is 3-4 weeks off opening...in some earlier years it barely got opened in time for R1.

I've been so concerned about my team...but I've had to remind myself not to get too settled with it...because the NAB cup is always the most vital indicator.

Guys like Lockyer presented last year. Whilst Knights had his big breakout in the NAB Cup a few years back. Palmer did his knee, as did Josh Hunt.

So I'm more just thinking strategies and plans right now. I reckon there will be quite a few changes by the end of R1 NAB.

Don't forget Bradd Dalziell's awesomeness in the NAB. Dane Swan also gave no indication of his season to come from memory.

NAB performances are just another selection tool for me. Just praying no more than one or two of the players I want go down injured, and my iffy first teamers have a good NAB run :)

Agree BB it is a good way to see who is fit and firing, like James Sellar was a few years back. Maybe the same year as the Goodwin and Edwards will be playing in the forward line "change"? Worked a treat didn't it.

Coaches experiment a bit unless they are dead keen on winning it like Roosy is this year

Some role changes like Lockyer as DaVe86 mentioned pop up but not many and you have to exercise caution.

Just reviewed Fantasy Freako's final preseason rave from last year (yes, very sadly I've still got all the emails from the past 2 years!!) and all players are included even if they only played one game - one page per team with player name, position, price, games (no. of preseason games), total points for each of the 4 games they played in and average. In addition there's a page of commentary/opinion and comments on 2 players from each club. Hopefully it will be the same, if not better in 2010 :)

The year before the email had a players price and their potential price if they average the same in the season as they have in the NAB. Made it really easy to see who the big cash cows would be. A bit too easy...

No Hille or Waters :(

Beau waters us fine, he's playing the next day in an intraclub match and will be playing the next week in the nab cup / challenge depending on if we win or notte. Keep an eye on Luke shuey. He will tear this game apart
