Made a few stupid errors, but thought in general play we were pretty competitive.

New season same old umpires. Good grief they are pathetic.

Anyway the game was pretty good, few rusty patches but both sides looked good, no biased we probably edged the contest and looked sharper.

Ivan Maric will be very good for us. Hard and tough, aggressive but smart also. Was My best.

Robbie Nahas was great I thought, super sharp and looked in good nick.

Dustin Martin was a class above, stands out so much, just brilliant, big season.

Steven Morris though was very hard and threw himself into everything, has amazing courage but lacked smarts and his decision making looked rough.

Brandon Ellis did a few smart things that made you say yep, gonna be a player, but was quiet.

Jack Riewoldt looked great, looks fit and has his spring back. Will dominate.

Trent Cotchin quiet by his standards and went too hard for my liking. Still looks class and matrix like when he gets the ball.

I was very impressed. All up I think when the real thing starts we will be significantly better.

Cotchin looked average IMO, just a casual stroll around the ground to getting some miles in the legs I beleive.


BTW we were the cleaner side, still a few stupid errors like McGuane trying to mark from behind against his own team mate which spilt resulting in a North Goal.

We dominated the game from the start, and showed we will be pretty handy come season proper. Maric was great Martin too, Miller was good and Nahas was menacing. Forward press was excellent, but cost us a couple going the other way. Umpires continued on from where they left off with some bemusing decisions to keep Nth in touch!
