you can have 6 on the bench in the pre-season can't ya?

itd be good to get a bit of game time into the "mature" age players (feels weird calling judd that he's only 24!). sort of just ease them in to make sure they have match fintess come rd 1, but at the same time the frist time we see judd in a carlton jumper we'd want it to actually mean something. that sorta comes down to a marketing vs. football argument, which football should never (but sadly often does) lose

Yes but at thes ame time you don't want to play a side so inexperienced that we will get smashed because that will dent some of the guys confiedence.

Also, it is important not to take out the whole side because we do need some match practice with close to if not our best 22.

All the players who are up and running should play.

Would love to see Aisake and Hampson and Kreuzer play in the Pre-Season game together. Wont happen though =l.

Would like to get a closer look at Benjamin and Edwards too.

As much as many want to be 110% for the NAB cup this is simply not possible without the match conditioning the NAB cup provides. With the senior blokes like Judd, Fevola, Stevens and Cloke coming off surgery at some point in 2007 it would be safe to say they would need to play themselves into form. Giving them 3 quarters at very limmited capacity will be a great way to ease them in without going 'full tilt'.

At soem stage we the senior players are going to have to play themselves into form AWG. Our best 22 are going to need some time to gel.

These ideas to just play all the kids are a bit silly. I'm all for giving a couple a go but we must still use these games to prepare our best side.
