Game Day NAB3: GCS vs Adelaide @ Metricon - 11 March 2016

Excellent effort and great to get the win but Cheney and VB were horrible. Really liked Lynch, Crouch, Seed, Lyons and Big Mac was great. Clearances will get us killed if we play against a good team like that.
A lot of players picked themselves this week and a few of them showed they belong in the sanfl.
Can't wait for 2 weeks time. Go crows!!

Biggest talking points for me...

Lyons cemented a round one spot, was in our bests tonight.
McGovern will play games at AFL level this year.
Milera is a jet and will play round one.
The Seed is running into form at the right time, dat leg.
Jacobs, Thommo, Laird, Crouch, Brown, Smith, Lynch Talia and Lever their usual selves all night.
Tex and Dougie good 2nd halves.
Sloaney a little quiet, but still 20 touches, 4 marks and 4 tackles.
Jenkins had his moments, but usually plays better when more pressure is on.
Hartigan will play over Cheney round one.
Crouch Snr and Atkins need to play round one.

McGovern looks really, really promising.

VB, McKay, cey and Cheney should all be used for sanfl depth and then delisted at the end of the year. Cey is horrible.

Pretty much how I saw it.

Was quite impressed with McGovern. Great tackler for a bigger guy.

Agree with most of that. Disappointed with smiths, jacobs and Sloanes games.

Only saw the second half. Thought McGovern and Lyons looked good. Milera surely plays round one. Vb, just looks like the game was past him.

I only saw bursts tonight but based on the stats from the first 3 practise games it sticks out like dog's balls - we are not playing an 80% contested/inside game anymore. We're playing a much more varied style, bordering on outside/uncontested. The choke/press from Walshy is not really evident. That's a big shift. Perhaps they analysed the Hawks Semi closely and have designed a game to match that style rather than a dour style.

Exciting but risky if our skills fall flat.

Seedsman looked impressive. Good game.

Jacobs had 18 disposals, 4 marks, 41 hitouts and 2 tackles, I think we must have been watching a different game. Smith had a good first half and in the end still had 25 touches, 16 of those kicks. Sloaney didn't seem to get out of first gear but still had 20 touches and 4 tackles. These guys just need minutes in the legs before round one, they will be fine.
