Good final hit out

IMO the final pre-season game is always a bit meh, Coaches say it's a final dress rehearsal however reality is best 22 players are mindful of that round 1 is just around the corner and just getting through the game

Pre-season officially over and we head into round 1 with a pretty healthy list

Bring on the Kangas

I haven't seen this game yet, although I listened to the call on 5aa. I saw the WC game live and the other on replay. I reckon the big difference this coming season will be the amount of options presented when our blokes have ball in hand in the back half. The Don has harnessed our superior fitness and is using it a different way to past coaches. We've wasted our fitness in the past by turning the ball over constantly in contests and having to spend long portions of games chasing jumpers.
We may go down on contested ball numbers, but the new focus on gaining uncontested ball in space and having the ability to take a bit more time to spot up the best option should stand us in good stead.
I'm looking forward to the first few games in the real stuff to see how this pans out/if I'm right.

My thoughts for round 1 is we will miss Cameron and knight

Milera plays

Atkins needs to play also and will

B Crouch - I'm gonna say he doesn't play round 1 but won't be unhappy if he does

CEY burnt his chance last night, could have nailed that game but error ridden

McGovern gets games this year , will be a regular by next season

VB is getting hammered but I trust him a lot more than Dmac who I wouldn't have near the best 22

Brown - wow .... He's turning into a gun and rarely loses a contest . His kicking into the corridor to set up counter attack has been a massive feature this pre season

Seedsman is looking like our best recruit from trade week early days . Just the type of player we need and now for consistency

Seeds defensive abilities to shut down the outside are something we haven't had in years and his offensive stuff especially his kicking is sublime

some of our senior players didn't really turn up , as don would say an event rather than a trend . Expect they had eyes round 1 but it was disappointing
