Nit nat

Is it me or does the situation surrounding NIT NAT sound the same as the JUdd Fiasco. He wants to wait till late in the year to make a decision on staying with the eagles or moving to the gold coast. Will this be the same out come as Judd . Is it possible we could loose two of our first draft picks to eastern states clubs. Have we wasted a pick on Nat if that is the case. Is there a reason why we wouldnt of signed him on a 5 year deal initially and keep him away from GWS. Seems poor managemnet to me. I feel he will end up in GWS maybe even as there captain playing with a exciting bunch of young footballers. He definately is a Kevin Sheedy type player.

Thoughts welcome

Re: Nit nat

The only thing they have incommon is their manager. I have no doubt Naitanui wants to stay in Perth but i'm sure Paul Connors will be in his ear about taking the big bucks.

Bloody Connors

WEST Coast Eagles management has taken vital initial steps to keep new AFL club Greater Western Sydney from luring exciting ruck force Nic Naitanui away from the west.

West Coast officials will meet with Naitanui’s high powered manager Paul Connors on the Gold Coast around a busy AFL draft this week.
It is understood that the powerhouse ruck potential, who has played just 32 AFL games and his management are in no rush to sign any new West Coast agreement.

The powerfully built developing ruckman wants to recover fully from end-of-season shoulder surgery and then get well into next season before making any commitment to his future commitments.

I wonder if that means see if the coach is staying?

Noticed Sheedy on the news last night talking up a rivalry between Naitanui and Faluo.

He seeem to have a suspicious grin on his face..

It sounds like Ablett all over again. Puts off contract talks to mid-season then negotiations fail and they're put off to the end of the season. Contracts get re-negotiatied like Lecras if they have a stellar season. No need to wait till stocks are high.

Nat vs kerr

This is the last year of daniel kerr's contract. WE all know kerr has had a bad run of injuries this year and last . Would anyone consider retiring him at the end of the year to free up $700 to secure Nat long term. I think value for money this is a no brainer and that this option will have to be considered by West Coast.
