With last nights selections we have 35 on our primary list, the minimum requirement is 36 so we'll have to upgrade 1 of our rookies, probably Pickett. Gives us 2 Cat A spots and 1 Cat B should we wish to use them.

Guys such as Carroll, Winder, Ford were picked much later than expected and Baldwin, Callow, Maher missed altogether. Having these names miss shows the lack of confidence clubs had outside the

We didn’t rate Carroll as the slider at that 2nd pick- simple as that. This is similar to the Graham slider in 2017 so I’ll back the club to decide whether they should have picked him or not here. He would be behind RCD, Ross, Dow, Martyn in vying for a spot in the 22. Perhaps this is a vote of confidence to our existing group.

I like the look of Sampson but it raises questions on the rucks we have.

I would think this means bad news for Chol at end 2021 and perhaps even Soldo in the longer term. Rucks are hit and miss though so I think only one of Collina/Sampson will make it.

Geelong must have loved their player to forgo a future first.

We will need to replenish next year and I wouldn’t be surprised to see us trade our picks in for a gun from another club or into the top ten. Exciting times.

I wouldn't mind Geelongs 1st pick next year, can see them finishing top 4 with that stupid home ground advantage. Reckon they are most likely to trade though as they have 2 early 2nd round picks next year already.
