The good judges have been saying all year that we should look to one late.
I’m all in on Angus Clarke if he lasts to our next pick…but Jasper Alger, Sam Toner, Josh Dolan would be in the mix too. Rhys Unwin, Jacob Newton later on. But you just know we’ll go for a state leaguer.
Bro is a short, slow inside mid with above average, not elite skills. There's two outcomes from here in my view, he stays and we have a marginal upgrade on Johnson or Erasmus and an incredibly one dimensional midfield in terms of size, speed and skill. Or he leaves for opportunity cos he can't get past Johnson or Erasmus. That's why I am melting a bit.

I think it's been blown a little out of proportion that Reid doesn't have speed. He has reasonable speed and with his agility/sidestep, will be fantastic coming out of the middle.
I'd also add, there's a huge amount of improvement to come in that area of his game once he's in the professional environment of Freo. Reid could easily slot into our midfield or half forwardline in Rd 1.

Are you talking about Serong 5 years ago, or Murphy Reid? Lucky Serong is a “marginal” upgrade on Johnson and Erasmus.
I just can’t get my head around melts on draft night. Go off in two years time if he sucks. But until then get around him, he’s more likely to prove you wrong.

If he locks down a spot in the best 22 in a contending team I don't see him leaving. We were a rabble and losing a lot when Cerra left us.

Given our shortage of small forwards I would have been happier with Hannaford.
Murphy looks fine based on highlights but doesn’t fill a need.

His reviews reid pretty good and he’s got that deft Sam Mitchell type of kick that can pick apart defences by the looks.
His highlights are better than Johnson’s and Ras”s draft imo so let’s turn that frown upside down and trust the selection.
