Only thing I can suggest is (given we have no picks in 38-58 range) they really rate him and thought he'd be long gone by pick 62.

That is a heck of a vote of confidence in the youngster, but by gee we chose not to pick a whole bunch of higher rated prospects - which probably puts a bit of extra pressure on the kid from day 1. Hopefully it all works out well.

Guys you should be very very happy, he was one of my absolute favourites in this draft
I prefer him when he was played as a key back
I think he can end up one the best in this draft has amazing endurance elite speed
and has best the mark in the draft
He will need a few pre-seasons before he gets a game but long term will be so good
As a forward his set shot kicking at goal is his weakness its very poor but he is a good field kick

We did need another KPF on the list (particularly with what just happened to Jones) just not one with our top pick and not one from Vic.

Seems like a nice little development project

He's a South Aussie. We've done OK with drafting SA forwards previously.

Good choice - for tall forwards we have Treacy, Amiss, Voss and Odin who has a busted back.
