Why draft a key position player, when he will never be best 22, and we have good depth in the area.

Outside mid, forward or back flank would have been ok as well. Just not a KPF

It’s hardly deep.
Voss is immediate depth, then an unknown Knobel. The club has delisted Tabs, so KPF is always important to have and develop

It was an underwhelming draft, it's okay to say that. You can easily rationalise all the picks but at the end of the day we didn't fill our biggest need and that's a bit shitty. oh well.

Regarding small forwards.
Maybe the club has their sights on Kosi. Maybe they have a plan.

I’ll back them in to have some sort of forward planning (pun intended) over some bloke on BigFooty who is having a melt.

Even Joe Berry was getting minimal game time next season. Some small forward at pick 34 wouldn’t address anything. They’d be getting 8 touches at Peel at best.
