Package them all for pick 1So we have two seconds, three thirds and two fourths next year?
Buckets
people melted on the d and t board over what we did lmao
This draft considered a weak draft, while early mail is next years will be stronger. I think we intend to package the picks to trade up or to trade them for clubs desperate for draft pick points.I haven't been keeping up. I don't understand. We only selected two players this year. Why? Do we nemot rare this year's stock?
Gold Coast must have more Academy picks !Think it's clear we're looking to package picks to trade up the draft for next year, imo
Gold Coast must have more Academy picks !
No doubt a rule change incomingjust 26, 39, 43, 44 equal 1915 points, equivalent of pick 5. Add in pick 25 and its the equivalent of pick 2. We are primed to take advantage of academy/father son selections next year
The blues might also be looking to shift their 2024 1st round pick due to the FS twins.Gold Coast must have more Academy picks !
We're trading for DustySo logic suggests next year we will look to trade Eagles 3rd, Freos 3rd and Essendons 4th which for comparisons sake, 1000 points is about pick 17, so assuming we're looking to trade some junk picks for a first rounder next year.
Question is, do we intend to hit the draft or trade 2x first rounders for a gun player?
think we stuffed up big time not taking stevens . dude is a beast.
Apparently we have 2 rookie spots given that we're probably elevating Miller to the senior listAnyone know how many rookie picks / spots we have?
Just the one. We may pick or more likely hold it for preseason.Anyone know how many rookie picks / spots we have?
Geelong picked George Stevens. They like players like this on the KP ground, so that might work out for them
I run faster than him and I'm 37.
I think any change to the draft rules would come in two drafts down the track. It's not just us who trade for future picks as part of a strategy. There will be other clubs making major complaints if they change the rules to the next draft (including those who want to trade for the picks). No doubt a rule change incoming
Hence why it's a good pick for Geelong.....I run faster than him and I'm 37.
It's not 1995 anymore, if you can't run and cover the ground, you won't make it in the AFL.
