The only ones I can think of are fletcher and the camporeale twins. But neither lions or blues finishing bottom 4
theres quite a few, but whether they are at that the level is another story.

What is our zone?

The whole academy system is a joke. There shouldn’t be any fathers/sons, academies or compromised drafts. This is literally the only sport in the world you would see this crap happening.
F/S will be scrapped in 15yrs time just before Harper nominates.

we are cursed with father sons

colonwood get softcos x2 , scats get ablett, hawkins etc , bullfrogs get heaps, carltoon has twins coming

and we get naish spuds x2 and a little porker in mrj

This is where Ron the Bear would have chimed in but I don’t think the F/S to premiership ratio is that great

yeah it only works for the scats and colonwood who are in bed with the afl
and umpies

It’s a total joke. It’s from a bygone era and should be scrapped.
Starting to agree with this. AFL is hell bent on equalisation but is cool for top 8 teams to just continuously get access to top picks because they are the spawn of some dero that scraped in 100 games for them.

The narrative of rule changes coming in next year around academy / points matching and how that will work against our 2024 pick haul may be off the mark.

Could be wrong but any rule change would mean clubs have to pay a "fairer" value, so maybe their discounts will be reduced?

That would mean they need to accumulate more picks and that can only work to our advantage. Either way, I can't see how having more picks can work against us.

On a separate note, Matt Clarke turning 35 into 40 + two future picks - if that was another club the same people criticising him would be praising the opposition list manager.
Good post. A change to the academy system would only advantage us.

If Matt Clarke always wanted McAuliffe and Fawcett with our picks from what was available, then the trading with West Coast and Fremantle was very astute.

Hoping for Koen Sanchez today. Need another small forward.

Unless someone drafted him yesterday lol
u just want him cos his name is sanchez
