Last ten pick 11’s
Doesn’t exactly fill me with hope.

Really, there are some guns and a lot of good players. Menzel was talented but he was drafted already struggling with injury. Wayne Milera is like Gresham, missed 2 years of footy but looks a gun. Don't know anything about Pedlar but apart from Bonar and the injured guys most would walk into our best side.

Would love to get Rachelle. Hopefully he is smarter than his idol and doesn't end up belting umpires.
Would fit the trend of our draftees missing some sort of football off the bat. Max King with his ACL rehab, Bytel with his back operation, Crouch when he spilled that bag of flour everywhere. Maybe Rachelle belts an umpire or a recruiter.

Looking at that list I’d say about
85% chance we get a best 22, 150+ game player, which is good...
But probably only about 10% chance we pluck an AA type game changer that everyone seems to be getting hyped up for.

I think this year actually makes it a bit higher risk higher reward. Lots of players tipped around our pick have limited exposure so there wasn't surges or drops.

Agree - I think COVID must have thrown a major spanner in the recruiting scene verging on the "kaos/chaos ball" ! Has for two years now, hence picking up the likes of Sharman in the MYD maybe ? Or am I stretching this ?

He plays like he thinks he's a gun too. He has swagger. I reckon you can see some confidence and attitude in the way he carries himself. After 10 years of watching players who look like they sleep with the lights on, I like the idea of a bit of an alpha.
He’s got a good head on his shoulders. played in a senior flag at country level when he’d only just turned 15. Can definitely play forward as well.
Whatever level he plays at against whatever competition it wont phase him.
