Chris Broussard of ESPN is reporting that Carmelo's representatives are meeting with the Nuggets front office about a possible trade.

With Tayshaun now more then ever being said to be on the trading block which would make us open at SF, could it happen, could Carmelo Anthony possibly wear a Detroit jersey?

Now, on the offers
Denver recently shot down rumors that it was looking to trade Anthony, but the rumors have persisted. It is believed that Detroit recently offered Chauncey Billups and Tayshaun Prince for Anthony, but the Nuggets weren't interested. Denver countered with an offer of Allen Iverson or a package built around Marcus Camby for Chunacey Billups and Rasheed Wallace, but the Pistons are only interested in Anthony.

And today Melo's camp is going to meet with the Nuggets FO camp to discuss his future according to realgm.

And George Karl wants Melo traded lol.

Good to see the Nuggets GM follow my GM advice of AI + Billups for Billups + Sheed.

Keith Bogans will return for the final year of his contract, but center Adonal Foyle will opt out and become a free agent, according to The Florida Today.

Foyle, 33, would have made $1.26 million next season in Orlando but would like more money and playing time elsewhere.

For the better that Foyle opted out.

Toronto is looking to make a deal for Phoenix's Boris Diaw and has talked to the Suns. But Phoenix has no interest in Raptors point guard T.J. Ford or anyone else on Toronto's roster. While Toronto tries to get a third team involved, the Suns appear open to moving Diaw. President Steve Kerr and others have been privately questioning Diaw's commitment to basketball. NY Daily News

Jermaine O'Neal has been heavily linked to Toronto, but it appears to have fallen through;

Talks between the Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers about a trade that would have included Jermaine O’Neal and T.J. Ford fell apart on Monday afternoon, a league executive with knowledge of the negotiations said.

For the past two days, Toronto GM Bryan Colangelo had been pushing the idea of sending Ford, Rasho Nesterovic and the No. 17 pick in Thursday’s draft for O’Neal. For a few hours on Monday, there was a sense that the deal was close, but ultimately concerns over the damaged state of O’Neal and Ford were too much to consummate the trade.

The Pacers were concerned about Ford’s future with his past neck injuries, but were willing to start rebuilding without O’Neal and the $44 million owed him over the next two years. O’Neal played just 42 games a year ago, because of a left knee injury.

The trade would have given Indiana the 11th and 17th picks in the draft, allowing Indiana to take a point guard and a forward. The Raptors have been one of the league’s most active teams in trying to move up in the draft, and they’ve made no secret about their desire to move Ford and make restricted free agent Jose Calderon the point guard of the future.

As a Pacer fan, I'd take that deal. JO has been great for the club, but needs to move on. It would be beneficial for both teams.

I think it will all depend on whos on the board come the 11th pick and 17th pick. If Eric Gordan is still there at 11 which a few mock drafts have him slipping with westbrook and augustin rising, and a big man we could work with at pick 17 is there then i could see this deal going down.

The David Lee-to-Memphis scenario won't go away, in which Lee and Malik Rose's expiring contract go to the Griz for the No. 5 pick plus the two years left on Brian Cardinal's deal. That seems like more of a fallback position if the Griz can't deal up with Miami (using that No. 5 pick) to draft Michael Beasley or simply pick Kevin Love or Brook Lopez at 5. That also leaves the Knicks with the Curry-Zach Randolph pairing again and not much behind it, pending another move. Berg

Keep an eye on Golden State and Al Harrington. The Jersey guy has two years and a little less than $20 million left on his contract, the Warriors seem likely to move him, The Don drafted him in Indiana and he could fit D'Antoni's offense as a perimeter-shooting forward. Bergen Record

Another report has the Grizzlies sending Conley, Miller and the No. 5 pick to Miami for Udonis Haslim, Cook and the No. 2 selection. Memphis Commercial Appeal

Redd to the Cavs ???? And B-Diddy to the Pistons ???

Who would Detroit be able to give up for Baron Davis anyway ???
Still if they got him, they'd be a lot less sterile and boring to watch ..

Chauncey and Sheed would be nice pieces for the Warriors, Sheed in particular.

I don't really see how B Diddy fits in with us though. I thought the only reason we would get rid of Chauncey would be to clear space to give Stuckey more minutes, but that wouldn't happen if Baron Davis comes in.

Baron would be an expiring contract the year after though. Doesnt Chauncey have 3 years left?

Yeah, but are we in a situation where we need to be trading all stars for cap space?

We can do better for Chauncey Billups than trading for a bloke just because he has an expiring contract, and probably won't hang around either.

We definitely need to move Sheed, but i'd rather hang onto Mr Big Shot a bit longer and see if we can get something more palatable. We do need to shake things up a bit, but not just for the sake of it.

The New Jersey Nets and Milwaukee Bucks are on the verge of a trade that will send Richard Jefferson to the Bucks for forwards Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons, according to NBA front-office sources.

That's a shocker for the Nets if it actually happens.

I don't like RJ but he is worth a hell of a lot more than those two scrubs.

Come on man, you know they are clearing room to get Bronny in there when his contract is up.

That came up on Sportscenter just now as a trade recap....as though it was finished.

Now they are saying it is proposed again.

Brilliant trade for the Nets. 2 younger players and Yi is a pretty exciting talent.

Denver have new uniforms! (though i can't tell the difference)

Excellent move by the bucks.

If all stay together, Bogut, Charlie V, Jefferson, Redd, Williams is a an excellent starting 5.
