From tonight's Club Champion Awards...artwork of our Thebarton proposal.
Just kick the bowls club out.
lol
Almost sounds like it was 'do a quick mock up' without really thinking its a possibility

If you want an insight to the jealousy our little brother is feeling about our move to Brompton, check out the social media/BF talk about West Lakes and attracting Dawson.

These people know they have a limited time before we leave West Lakes and are in our excellent, new city fringe facility.

Better make the most of the shit talk regarding West Lakes while they can is their mentality.

Also I think they feel similar regarding the 2018 draft.

I dont understand Tealsters trolling West Lakes in terms of player facilities

The actual building we have is far superior to the training facility they have.

This time next year our ground will be surrounded by a park and houses. Not unlike Alberton.

And then our players move to a shiny new facility.

Meanwhile they are lucky to afford some cosmetic changes on their facility.

Let's hold our horses for now ... we don't know how the SA gov is going to respond to our proposal just yet. Even if we get the go ahead for Crompton, it will probably be at least 2023 before we'd have grass to train on there, let alone a completed new facility.

If we get approved in the next month or 2, it won't take 2 years to build.

I realise we aren't moving in tomorrow. The point is they seem to be using the construction site line as much as they can while they can.

They know Brompton will be an excellent home.

I was at a info session at Bowden last week for a different development going on there and the RSA rep basically said they are currently working on short listing the "high quality and high number of responses to the expression of interest". After they short list, the developers will need to provide RSA more details on their development to ensure it meets with the RSA master plan of it having public, commercial and green spaces but also how the heritage aspects of the site are utilised. IIRC they might come up with their preferred developer(s) by the end of the year.

FWIW, someone who says they know the Crows developers and architects reckons they've seen the plans and he says it looks fantastic.
Apart from just a training and admin area for the Crows, if it has some commercial and public use areas that offers a new revenue stream and community engagement it'll be a win/win for all.

Our new facility vs Alberton oval

Port woukd need to come up with a new reason why we hate them, professional jealousy, that's not going to float the boat

Most people will be by then

Olsen was good tonight on AA. Didn't really say anything that I couldn't have said if I was doing a faux interview. But what I liked a lot is that he's all business. Chappy used to do the matey, matey bullshit talking flowers, whereas Olsen comes across as being at arms length from the AA interviewer.
