George Kramer my take on it with the council approving the master plan that they're approving the lease boundaries presented which includes a second oval with dimensions of 110m x 80m.

This in essence means that the council has voted in favour of the next stage of the process and if the lease is granted will include the removal of the 10 trees in question

There'll never be an increase in size for the second oval. Given that this site was chosen because we could have a second oval it's a complete farce. Will be a white elephant.
5031 go on about losing community space despite there being a net gain with access to thebby oval
Complete joke

100% this.

The main appeal of Thebby was the second oval.

Is the size of the second oval that big a deal?

We had mountains of space at West Lakes and have won * all for decades
You'd at least want the size to be AFL standard, not some pissy little oval with the 50m arcs touching

If we want all 3 teams to train there then a second oval is paramount.

I’m looking forward to the Netflix documentary coming out on this, not sure how many episodes but it starts with death of PW, then covers the couple of yrars buildup to the 2017GF, then the camp and the shit show that followed it then Covid-19 and the Barossa incident followed by the disastrous 2020 season which ended with the spoon and meanwhile we have in the background the North Adelaide and Brompton relocation messes and to now we are here.

Seriously it has been a shocking 8 years but we might get a good 10 episodes out of it.

Anyone on this board a lumberjack...
Easy fix - bring in Martin Leslie as an assistant coach - not only could we toughen the back half just by showing footage of him punching Dermie in the head in the State game, but we could also utilise his professional skills under the cover of darkness at Thebby. He has been felling trees at an alarming rate on the West Coast for the last 10 years or so. Not all of the trees being dropped were actually marked for felling, but you can't fault his crew's enthusiasm :)
