The fact that this goes on for so long is an indictment on the management, ultimately the CEO. They have eyes for god sake. There was, also, that dangling letter on the scoreboard that dangled for years. Then there are the oval lights. Make the Port community proud? Where is that meant to start? With the Club being proud of itself, which it ain’t but fails to realise it let alone acknowledge it and do something about it. Fix the little things. Not a lot to ask.

There are a lot of little things that add up to an extremely poorly run club.

I mean look at the Tim Evans and Scott Hodges signs at each end of Alberton Oval. I've see country ovals with more pride and care than ours.

There are a lot of little things that add up to an extremely poorly run club.

I mean look at the Tim Evans and Scott Hodges signs at each end of Alberton Oval. I've see country ovals with more pride and care than ours.

The Club makes its own problems. These imperfections are the result of a minimal maintenance budget, a fear of spending money coupled to an innate inability to make money ... resulting in an accumulation of visual and tangible imperfections which subliminally weigh upon the performance of those paid to work at the Club and do a better job than they’re achieving.

Then you have Moi providing excuses for non-excellence by insisting that PAFC is no more than a little blue collar mob from the swamp, so what can you expect? He has eyes, too. He can see the dying Power sign on the Club HQ. He can see the dangling letter on the scoreboard. But he’s too busy with himself.

I have even heard the rumour that the Board issued a directive to Moi to desist from this counter-productive puerility ... but, guess what, he takes too much delight in defying said directive and playing Chairman Moi.

I think that the inner boarder needs to either be black or teal to highlight the wharf pylon design. By having the inner boarder white you lose the white wharf pylon designs impact.

I'm curious. Did people really expect anything new or radical with the logo?
They are trying to cater for a wide range of supporters.
They've obviously seen sales of logo merchandise, they're aware of the Prison Bars movement and teal, (love it or hate it), is now part of our history.
As such the logo was always going to be an inoffensive combination of these things.

I think sometimes we forget that the Bigfooty supporter base is massively outnumbered by the FB crowd and the club will always try to be seen appeasing the majority.
I'm becoming pretty cynical nowadays but I can't see this Club doing anything too forward thinking given the current management seem pretty set in their ways.

On a lighter note - happy there is no mention of Pirates and lighthouses!!!

meanwhile they're giving the West Lakes mob free land in park lands and 100mil to build something nice.

At least you have the ability to be heard by some of the clubs hierarchy (I know it doesn't mean they listen).
To me right now, everyday it seems the Club is distancing itself further from its supporters.......

Thanks mate. By ‘resignation’ you mean, I assume, my membership. I am honestly torn. Yesterday I was out. Today I’m in favour of renewing my International Membership ... because at a minimum I owe it to Benny D.

BTW it’s China National Day holiday in HK today and I’m sitting on my stool in Pro Drinkers Corner waiting for the protesting horde to show up. They were here Sunday evening. I had a ‘chat’ with one of their leaders. Today I have my flak jacket on.

It’s not the ACTUAL one.

There are heaps of differences when you look at them side by side (monogram, number of bars, proportions, border colour?). The execution of the actual logo is clearly much better.
