Very straight sash 
Much like many of the European soccer clubs manufactured by adidas that have sashes. Looks like (and no surprises either) adidas are trying to standardise their template across all sports - new collar, the triangle things on the side of the Pies guernsey etc.

I prefer the straighter sash. Never understood a curve in it.
There were a fair few complaints about having the sash curved. The complaints were an over reaction which lead to the design being an over reaction.
I wouldn't be too surprised if we went back to the 09-10 version in 2 years after the next wave of complaints.

I like it straight
New Melbourne gear from Cameron's Schwab's twitter of all places.
Can see a bit of the collar there, but the bigger revelation is the shorts design from NB - looks good. The angles of the red panels there will match well with the V, like what we see these days in Soccer.
The dead straight sash is not good, hate how it means the new collar juuust goes into it on the left. 07-08 look was by far the best.

Looks like Melbourne have done what C'wood did last year, with the logo above the jumper sponsor. Looks good.

Would it be fair to say its straighter than Richmond's 2011 Guernseys?

Going by the Kooga design, the Richmond sash is slightly curved so yes.
(I think I like Richmond's slight curve better)
