The Argentina design is preventing a clash. In simple terms, it's black vs. white. Who can complain about that?

Wouldn't that navy blue create more of a clash? The colours are admittedly different, but a light/dark clash works much better than a dark/dark clash.

This is a non-issue.

Exactly.

So why do we have a situation where Collingwood and North now have two different clash jerseys each, none of which were really necessary for this particular clash in the first place.

If Collingwood wear black shorts with their usual jumper, and North wear white shorts with theirs, there is no clash.

Well, my mum certainly likes North's clash solution.

"Who's that in the light blue? That's a pretty cool strip, I like it".

Props to North Melbourne marketing and design. They've found their jumper niche: Middle-class mothers of teenage footy fans...

That's funny, seeing as their home jumper is more white than their clash jumper.

There is no clash if Collingwood wear home with black shorts, North wear home with white shorts.

is lighter than (a great amount of white).

I would argue that the Argy clash is lighter than the home kit. The darker cuffs, collars, stripes, shorts, and socks equal a fair bit of dark - even with white shorts, it's still much darker than the Argentina clash.

But it's royal blue versus black. We don't have an issue when the Bulldogs are playing Collingwood and it's the same colours.

That was not my point. I was saying this: The light blue and white of the 'Argentina' clash is much better at preventing a clash than either the home, or away, Kangaroos strips. This is obvious. You've interpreted my argument as: The home/away North strips clash with Collingwood's home.

It's a case of (practically) white vs. black, obviously polar opposites. That has no clash whatsoever. A kit consisting of half-royal, half-white 'clashes' slightly more against mostly-black and a minority of white.

I'm all for clubs using their tradition where possible. So i'm with the point of your argument. However, you've just misinterpreted.

Yo dig?

Your argument fails, as Norths home is more white than the Argentine strip. You may say it's lighter but you can not say it is whiter, as it is not.

There is no issue when North wear all white, home top and white shorts. As you said - it's white vs black, polar opposites...

Just noticed that #1 for Port Adelaide doesn't have the sponsors logo at the front of his jumper. There's been several mallees in today's game so this could be a back up jumper as his original got ripped.

Why don't North just remove the middle stripe from their home jumper like Collingwood did?

Exactly. If only the AFL agreed

Perhaps just chuck a red sash over the top of your home jumper, according to the AFL a red sash doesn't clash with anything.
