News New jumpers for 2012

Does anyone know if KooGa will be changing their jumper design/template for the 2012 season.. They've had the same one for like 3 years now?

I think its due for an update..

They could possibly change the Collar design to this

It has appeared on the Lions,Dogs,Tigers training shirts and now on the Wallabies jersey.

That collars on pretty much all kooga rugby union. Samoa tonga and fiji have it as well.

I'm just saying seeing as though they have it on the Training shirts they might update it to that collar next season

Looks shitter than the afl one. I hope they make something new, and also add some silky shiny material, as this years ones looked weird teamed up with the home shorts. The home shorts were silkier/shinier material.

Depends - Christmas is the key. If clubs have a lot of old stock, they'll flog it over Xmas and hold the launch off until 2012. If they don't, they'll use Xmas to boost initial sales, so expect a launch in more like November (that's also around the time that sponsorship deals start/end - Bankwest joins the Eagles on 1 November).

Was talking to johnny bric from a major sporting jumper supplier in melbourne 2 days ago. he told meeee that they have stopped making dogs jumpers with the dog on it because they were bringing out the new dogs jumper next year. awsome as!

As discussed, Footscray will wear what they call their 1954 design.
Very similar to this:

Clash will be the reverse of the Blue & White.
Collar and cuffs may also be Blue on the Clash.

thats what i was told mero. the 54 sash jumper he said. but as we all know these afl marketing ppl are a smart lot and wont offically announce it until they have pissed off all there 2010 jumpers at 20 30 % off

But, can someone please tell me Collingwood are going to fix up the black patch on the top of the shoulders?

It kills me to see it, unless they take away the small pannels above the numbers.

Im with you tigerland, it looks bloody stupid, the stripes up the top on the back are 4 cm long they should just go all the way from the front to the number on the back

I don't even see a reason for either the 4 cm pannels at the top, or the black line.

3 years ago Adidas had the best template, didn't cut into the jumper, then something went wrong.
Adelaide got the curved space, then the bib and curves everywhere.

The Pies of 2002-2003 were the best jumpers.

Not to be a grumblebum, but can we keep the concepts in the 'Jumper Ideas for 2012' thread? I find it nicer to have one thread for concepts and another for news and rumours.

I've added away and clash jumpers to the Gold Coast design I made before

The away isn't necessary but I like how it looks like a sunset on the water so I added it anyway. Also it makes use of their blue which I removed from the other jumpers.

Sorry LeeARM, but he has a point.... and he's Mr. Eagle....

But on a side note, they beat the jumper they have so far. Not bad.

It's all about the money. If it's different, people will buy it. I have no problem with it anyway. Change, essentially, is a good thing.

Manchester United, among other teams, change their kits every season. Whether they be major or minor changes, the kit is always different every campaign.

manchester united used the same home kit for 2 seasons, not being picky or anything haha
