Just on the Crows socks (home and clash), it sees many a club is now creeping closer to what was once solely Carlton territory.

The Port and Freo revised home strips are very similar to ours from the back, and now Adelaide have basically all navy socks. Bit annoying to be honest.
Really?

Carlton doesn't own blank block colours on socks or jumpers, nor does it own the colour navy. Get your hand off it.

Brisbane may have the club song inside the neck?

(See the close-ups on the BLK website)

I'm not sure about the white panels

It's what the AFL wants, contrast-wise.

they have separate home and clash socks, both are crap though

but the photo on the crows website looks like the home socks will be mostly navy with thin hoops.

The clash socks are a seperate discussion.

The other two had vastly different jumpers to this until recently.

It wouldn't have been allowed if it were Collingwood, that's all I'm saying.

If either team went with a navy blue back then you might have an argument,

But Navy, Black and Purple are different colours.

Your argument is really silly.

Should we stop the Saints and Sydney as well.

Perhaps Collingwood can block Hawthorn from their strips being added to the back.

Port and Freo have proper clash strips so there is no argument.

It's not an argument at all, merely an observation.

Prior to the changes each team had a distinct entity, Carlton was the only 'one colour' club. Now there are basically three dark block colour teams.

Thats why we have clash jumpers now, if Carlton take ownership of "one colour club" like Collingwood have black and white strips well good luck to teams 12 to 18 in the comp because getting a jumper that doesn't infringe on someone's right to a jumper design isn't going to happen, once a couple of other clubs register their rights.

The three clubs you talk about all have sufficient clash jumpers, so really can't see the point here.

no club has the right to say this is our jumper, you have no right to have anything like it because it is our heritage and our design*.
it's like Hawthorn telling North to F off from the stripes, it's not going to happen, the only designs you own are the ones you are using and those you were using, including the colours.

*Collingwood towards Port because that was Ports terms to enter the league, But if Eddie wasn't a dick, he'd let them use it in any game not against the Pies

Eddie wasn't around when we entered the league and it's totally understandable why he wouldn't want Port wearing black and white stripes with the Magpies moniker.

I honsetly don't see any similariites between Ports Prision Bars and Collingooods stripes (Except the colours of course) I understand Collingwood blocking the use of "Magpies", but the blocking of the prision bars is simply overkill.

Agreed on the clash strips, but in the AFL - with only 18 teams - it'd be easy enough to avoid the need for it in 99% of cases.

wasn't suggesting the magpies moniker should come back, just that they should allow you to wear the Prison bars in say, the showdown or in all/some home games not against Collingwood.

It's a design, the AFL wouldn't block it because "this exact design is taken by another club". Richmond and essendon are largely the same from the front, do essendon then own that design because they had it first? What about all the clubs with vertical stripes? Who gets that design?

It's a silly argument. Not to mention, Hawthorn went a while with a plain back, how would it affect you if they reverted to that sometime in the future?

A plain backed AFL jumper and socks aren't Carltons.
