Unpopular opinion: I think I like this more than the royal wings.

The logo works better on navy as the ochre just melts into it. Even so, a full royal strip with our wings restored to rightful size will be primo

I was gonna say. Wait until you see the royal with the new, fat wings. Pretty slick pair of jumpers.

The white POS on the other hand... #Returntheperil.

Unpopular opinion: Teal jumper is lookin' sound.

I hope they get to revising the collar in 2017. Certainly it would be more resistant to tearing but it doesn't look good unless the collar colour matches the jumper, hiding the design.

The teal looks awesome.
And the contrast collar / shoulder seam combo deal is seriously growing on me too.

I hate the way ports vees just cut at the shoulders. Why can't they go to the cuffs?

Because of the way ISC jumpers are constructed.
The shoulder is one piece, and it's always one colour.
StKilda's Red panel also does not go to the shoulders.

So design is one thing Mero, what's your take on the ISC & other supplier's Guernsey templates? Becoming too gimmicky & complicated for their own good?

Probably designed for other sports.
I saw the Hawthorn jumper the other night when my son was playing FIFA16 on Xbox.
Southhampton wear it.
As I might have mentioned here or in another thread, in my opinion they've become jumpers of the manufacturer in club colours.
Hawthorn are Brown and Gold stripes, not stripes that taper to suit the adidas template.
Effectively they've become adidas jumpers in Hawthorn colours.

The design itself comes up to the shoulders rather than to the cuffs, but it bleeds into the cuffs on the short sleeve jumper... probably because the ISC template is so tight. Or something. I dunno. But it's fine. Certainly better than horizonally skewing it to end at the cuffs like the local footy photo you posted above.

The Guernsey from earlier is not perfect, but on ports jumper they just look like they're hanging their, and having them go to the cuff would make it look more complete IMO.
