FWIW that constitution thing is the biggest load of shit ever made - for a start it also says it must be on black, which the grey one isn't, second it basically says the league can dictate it, and finally, much like Richmond can be identified with 'yellow' and 'sash', Essendon has 'red' and 'sash', not 'red sash'.
Ik most if not all people on this board agree, but I just had to let that out

As far as I know Essendon have never said that the grey guernsey complies with their constitution, outside of the part where it says the club must follow the leagues' rules. It's essentially just a meme for this board.
