Those issues were caused by the club, not Puma.

The club signs off on the design to be used each year, the buck stops with them on issues with the design.

Issues the club don't sign off on, like the numbers being too small, backwards logos and colours being washed out, are caused by ISC.

Carn. On one hand you say the smaller wings design is the clubs fault because they sign off on the design, but then you say the backwards logo on the shorts is ISC’s fault because the club don’t sign off on the design? You can’t have it both ways.

The club didn’t design the jumpers with smaller wings and tell Puma to make them. Puma continually changed their template which forced the wings to get smaller and introduced side panels that cut off the design. The club might have final say, but Puma presented those designs in the first place. To lay no blame at the hands of Puma is ludicrous.

Don’t get me wrong, the production and colour quality of Puma guernseys is top notch. But in the couple of years we had them, their off field stuff was pretty average quality and very dull designs. I’d be happy to have them back, but they’re not exactly some absolutely flawless company that can do no wrong.

This year though, Puma > ISC. From what I've seen in store, the embroidery is looking a little less precise than last year and there are little things like Port's swampy green "black" guernseys as well as West Coast's premiership gear that show that ISC are dropping the ball.

Honestly, go into any AFL merch store and compare the black of Puma to Port's "black" (making sure it's the 2019 version). You'll notice it's much worse in person than from any photo I can take for you...

ISC's polos look like they're done on the cheap too. HJs logo on the eagles polo have been off centre, the burger inside the red box hasn't been straight.

Give me Puma every day of the year.
100% Puma > ISC all day. Material, comfort, fit and quality of finish on jumpers and off field stuff is far away superior. Puma use a soft silky material on singlets and polos while ISC feel comparatively cheap and "rough" The PI / Matchworn jumpers in terms of fit and material is far superior with Puma. Would have them back in a heart beat over ISC.

Puma’s template didn’t force the wings smaller - see the 2012 10 year 1992 Premiership anniversary guernsey or the switch from 2015 away to 2016 away. Nice, deep wings when the club actually wakes up and gives Puma some kind of brief.

I don't get how it's not Puma's fault. They freakin' designed the damn thing - broken skinny wings, excessively large eagle head, etc.

What you are suggesting is that because the club signed off on it, Puma were at liberty to take shortcuts and make a sh!t product. I disagree.

ISC definitely aren't the worst (g'day Nike) but there's some areas to improve on. Quality is probably the main one. My ISC player issue feels so thin and silky compared to a COAR/Cotton On player issue. The GPS pouches in ISC jumper are velcro and itchy, and awkwardly positioned, compared to Cotton On which uses a soft foam pouch in a comfortable position. Off-field gear needs some work too, not so much in designs, but just the material. Sub-par when compared to other clubs

We don’t know what happened - but if the Eagles said make sure the head is as big on the 2012 away as it is on the home, that doesn’t leave much room for Puma design-wise.

The broken wings was on them though and they fixed it at least for 2016.

Cotton On AFLW is the benchmark for material IMO. So soft, no idea if Geelong have the same material.

I haven't had a chance to suss out our AFLW jumpers properly yet, but the Cats AFL jumpers are a very nice material - soft, smooth and comfortable yet sturdy and reliable. In terms of material, they're the best jumpers we've had by far, it'll remain to be seen how the new cuffs work out however

Has anyone seen a 2019 Gold Coast jersey yet?? Could there be a rebrand coming?
I've been keeping an eye out for this also. they've changed their training top, right? Or maybe I just never paid attention before. So maybe a new change is coming. The fact there has been no sight of it, and it's January seems a bit odd. They'd have to have them ready for season launch you'd think.

Doubt there will be one. All their promo stuff this season has been with the same jersey from last year

But yet they don't have it on their shop or anywhere. If it wasn't changing, why the long-longed wait? I figure they had to use their one from last year for promotional wise if a new one wasn't ready.

I think Gold Coast and GWS might be waiting for sponsors to fill a part of their guernseys especially in the case of the Suns guernsey (does anyone know if any of their sponsorship deals expired last year)
