Asics just continue to disappoint.FFC on the front of the jumper
Collar looks halfbaked. Whilst the FFC was great on the back, it just looks really out of place under the front sponsor. If you're going to budge for the almighty dollar just leave the nod to FFC off.
Woeful. Asics contract can't end soon enough.

I wish the doggies p1ssed the FFC off and replaced it with 'Footscray'.
Might just be semantics but I thought the intent is to celebrate 'Footscray' and not the Footscray Football Club since that club is still on-going.

Do clubs really need the logo on shorts?
From the club website:
“The AFL approached clubs during the covid-ravaged 2020 season about a sponsor branding opportunity in the top section of the back of the guernsey, which meant relocating the FFC letters,” said Bulldogs’ Chief Commercial Officer, Nick Truelson.
“Unfortunately, apparel deadlines meant we weren’t able to produce a retail version of the guernsey with FFC on the front for 2021, however we believe our fans will be excited to purchase a jumper with an overall new look.”

The off-field gear has been awful since they came on board in 2017. In my opinion they've been trying way too hard to be different, weird materials, gradients, etc. I was always buying gear most years, haven't really coughed up at the merch shop due to their gear looking terrible.
Onfield- The red dorito chip collar we've had the 2 couple of seasons hasn't been great. This new collar is a train wreck, what is with the weird shape at the bottom? Who signed off on a keyline FFC?
Material wise, decent, colours decent, definitely a step up from BLK/Kooga. But a big company like Asics should really be serving up gear of a higher calibre.

I am quite surprised with this criticism of Asics. I thought they have done a great job with the dogs and would love them to have taken the deal for the Suns.

Footscray jumpers getting slightly better each year. Red collar and cuffs great. Proper Royal blue a couple of years ago. Just need the hoops raised.

The lettering on the front of the Dogs jumper looks odd, but it’s a decent enough idea? Maybe a monogram would look more normal in that space?
In time I can see the AFL logo moving to under the collar (WAFL style) with number and club monogram in its place on the left there.

That’s a fair response. I agree on the Dorito collar, that was bizarre. Their colour from the first year was probably the best of the 3. Any company is a step up on blk/Kooga in terms of colour

I really hope that doesn’t happen. I think the wafl logo works in the spot because it’s not a particularly glarey logo like the AFL is.

I agree Footscray is better than FFC on jumper. The whole club is still the Footscray Football club. Trading as Western Bulldogs. Bob Murphy just reignited the old debate over our preferred name. I have strong opinions on many things but sit on the fence with this one, can see pros and cons both ways. It’s great to still represent an area and be still based there and not just a memory of an area like some clubs.
