I was gonna post that ridiculous jumper they had a few years ago but didn’t want to have to look at it again. Trust me, they tried that, and became the most failed idea in the history of the world.

They tried and failed because they ****ed with the overall guernsey design by plastering that thing across the chest. An update like what the Detroit Lions had ages ago would be so easy, but peeps stop the discussion at 'thou shan't toucheth thy RoyBoy Lion'. Also see Saints' and Pies' outdated logos.

The dude said modernise the lion, not **** with the jumper. That jersey is irrelevant.

I don’t believe Gibbsy is talking a whole new lion, more a modern redraw of it so it looks a bit cleaner for the modern age. A bit like the Minnesota Vikings a few years ago. The actual foundations of the Fitzroy Lion are class and shouldn’t change, the line work just looks poor.

I've never understood opposition supporter's distaste for the Fitzroy lion. There is something very elegant and proud about the design which the overwhelming majority of Lions' supporters (including Bears and Fitzroy supporters) would rather keep in its current form.

Absolutely.

I for one don't want it "modernised", in any way shape or form. The current design is perfect.
