Ideally Brisbane in Fitzroy strip but don't think it'll make a difference either way

Its forecast to be 27 degrees and sunny, so it'll be easy to differentiate the teams

I will be spewing if the BRISBANE Lions wear a red jumper when there is no clash.
Not sure why the Roy’s fans want it either, Fitzroy had their best success in Maroon as well.

I personally prefer the Lions' red jumper to the maroon. But the only "Fitzroy jumper" that exists is the one with the FFC monogram on it.

Was filthy when GWS were made to wear their white clash 2019 for no apparent reason. Ruined what would've been a classic and clash-free spectacle.

Fitzroy kit would be so sick to see, not entirely necessary but don't think it would looks messy at all on the day. Good test for whether white shorts = away policy will reign supreme.

More of a clash with the Brisbane white shorts.

I'd say neither actually "clash", rather they sit somewhere in between on the spectrum of contrast.
I actually think there's benefits with either match-up. The Fitzroy kit provides better overall light vs dark contrast, while the full home kit provides between colour contrast by eliminating any common colours.

Comes down to whichever the AFL considers to be more important, though both teams in full home would be my bet and my preference :)

I don’t care if you’re Collingwood and Brisbane or if you’re North Melbourne and Gold Coast. Every single team in the league when designing their away guernsey needs to ask the question “will we be pissed off if we have to wear this in a Grand Final?”

This is why in my opinion the best away guernseys in the league belong to Melbourne, St Kilda, Collingwood, GWS and Brisbane. It would not be a travesty if those clubs had to wear their away jumpers in a Grand Final.

Clubs like Port, Carlton and Essendon would be absolutely spewing and kicking up the biggest stink if they had to wear their current away jumpers in a Grand Final. But it’s their fault. Design better jumpers.

Why Carlton don’t use the Sturt blue design is beyond me. It looks good and it’s actually blue.

Yep I was somewhat excited for the potential Coll v Carl GF kit matchup meltdown over this week just to see the cognitive dissonance at AFL house. Funny to think the first time Blues would've worn their clash against us in years would be a GF of all matchups.

100% right and if the AFL direct Brisbane to wear the Fitzroy kit I'm sure they'll have no qualms whatsoever. I just think the AFL should only seek to apply this when the teams properly clash eg. Adelaide v Richmond, unlike Richmond v GWS 2019 which was highly unnecessary to force a team out of their preferred kit.

In Brisbane's case absolutely not. Would be in heaven if they wore royal blue shorts as well instead of white.

I don't know why Brisbane changed their away collar to gold, it looked better with the Fitzroy blue collar.

If Carlton got to wear navy uniform away, last night, then I'm sure Brisbane will be wearing their home maroon uniform in the Granny. Probably with white shorts.

Is the consensus here, we want Brisbane in full home or away with white shorts? And that home with white shorts would be messy

I'd prefer Brisbane in full home kit. Second preference; Fitzroy with blue shorts
They ruined their Fitzroy away kit, their first incarnation of it was the best, it had a very premium look to it. It would look great in a Granny.

This looks cheap and poorly designed by comparison, rather them just wear their home guernsey.

Per ____ , Brisbane will indicate their preference to wear their 3peat jumper on Saturday. This is the best option considering they don't have royal blue shorts.

While both teams in full home would be sufficient, the AFL should direct Collingwood to wear white shorts to maximise contrast.

I wouldn’t care as a Port supporter if we were in the all white strip for a grand final.

Yellow cuffs have ruined one of the best away jumpers in the league.

If you want the best look for Grand Final Day:

Brisbane Full home kit
Collingwood, home jumper and white shorts

We used white shorts in 2007 to make it the best looking appearence for the big dance, perhaps Collingwood need to do the same.
