More I think about it Martin would be fine as captain from a media stand point. We generally share the press duties anyway, he might have to cop it once a fortnight and all you're expected to do is answer dumb questions with yeah nahs, anyway.

Nank would be fine on his own. He is always injured or suspended for 5-10 games a year though.

New CBA is forcing players to do more media. Dusty won't be able to say no any more.

No one forces Dusty, stuff the CBA, its a Richmond decision, if Dusty wants to be top tiger and declares it.... he will go unchallenged, grimes and nank were/are not natural media performers anyway....

let baker, graham, lunch, vlossy, hopper and co do the media stuff....

simple its all rehearsed and spoon fed by our media manager anyway.

seriously how many times have we seen or heard alex pearce, luke macdonald, jarrod witts, james sicily and others,

its usually only big show ponies like dangerfield spruiking the afl script and he gets media kickbacks that come in brown paper bags and free lunches anyway.

Lynch hasn't played for 12 months, I'm not sure why he would be captain.

Dusty can be a leader without being named skipper(doesn't need that extra external media pressure that goes with it - will only serve to drive him away from us next year). let him do him! he will lead on the ground regardless!

Bakes to me comes across not mature enough

personally someone who is going to play every week no matter what and some hardy senior experience and leadership

some options in my mind
Vlaustin - has some maturity knocks on him
Lynch (if fit!) proven leader and already shown can handle external pressure(expectation of being a big recruit)
Prestia (again if fit!) hot and cold
Taranto - still a bit green at club and haven't heard a lot about his ability to lead - but looks like the players like him on the field!

I feel these guys would perform even with the added title and pressure
