I can confirm a total of 2 South Morang senior players attended in the Kilmore social rooms after the game. The South Morang players were kindly provided with a budget price slab of cans after the game and they chose to sit in the change rooms to drink them and not attend the social club. Even after a Kilmore official entered the change rooms and invited them to attend the social club, where the best opposition player is awarded with a six pack. Fortunately, the player who won the six pack was present in the rooms, but appeared pretty embarrassed by the no show from his team mates.

Maybe they were already celebrating their season, in fear knowing they won't be able to match with the top teams come finals time

To call a spade a spade, there under 19s took a bus up and used Kilmores bar throughout the day. The club had a function on that night , and it's quite a long drive back from Kilmore ..I'm pretty sure other clubs have had functions on and had to leave early after the game

Lets put some perspective on this, there is 1 game to go after this weekend and it's a been a long season. They certainly wont be the only reserves team looking thin over the next few weeks. If your'e looking to Kilmore bash or put the club in a negative light the seniors sit 7-7 and once the season is done should end it 8-8. Great return after a hard introduction into the competition, at one stage there was even finals talk this season.

Didn't wanna steal anyone's thunder, hopefully our 17s roll thru to assemble a 19's which will help depth. Obviously 2-3 will vacate but if they thicken the soup some more especially in the back half their current 7-7 record could improve again.
Bulluss' injury has hurt structurally more than many even inside the Clancy Reserve fenceline may even realise.
As you know only too well Doona, if Kilmore can retain their junior talent and get back a number of ex juniors who left to try their luck at other nearby clubs, they can become genuine contenders.
Had about 3 players come back from injury early to hobble around and play on the weekend too which didnt help the scoreboard but helped the side, Irons was out as he has his face caved in the week before and i believe Kite and De Sousa hurt themselves during the match on the weekend. Hopefully they can scrape 2 teams together and finish on a positive note because it has been a pretty good year for Kilmore i would of thought.

A pretty tired looking Kilmore just looking for the season to end.
Thoughts on heading into the finals off the back of s round 18 bye? Advantage or disadvantage?

Sth Morang have had the longest run of matches since their bye but have also hit a super form patch so may suit them to have had 8 matches running before finals. They will play Banyule who will have played 6 since their bye so it looks to be a good matchup there.
Epping have the R18 bye but its been R6 since their last one so it might just freshen them right up... and they play St.Marys who had the bye in the second last round and then will play Morang this weekend so I don't think having it in R17 or R18 will make much difference in this game other than Epping maybe being a bit fresher or if St.Marys get any injuries this weekend.
Both Morang & St.Marys really playing for nothing this weekend so it will be interesting to see what sort of game it is.... bruise free? or crash bash?
